Tom Hooper's The Danish Girl (Eddie Redmayne)

In the script, she's undoubtedly lead but apparently, they're placing her on supporting. #categoryfraudstrikesagain

VIkander should have the world at her feet. Give her the golden bald man. :oldrazz:

Ah they're going with the Christian Bale "Fighter" approach. He was clearly one of the lead's but knew they had no chance against The King's Speech and Colin Firth so placed him in the "weaker" Supporting category. :funny:

She already has Fassy. That's enough. You can't have it all. :o

Yep! Same with how Hailee Steinfeld went supporting for True Grit as well.

You do have a point there bro. Frick in hell Redmayne has taken it past the Hatheway level of a** kissing.

breh,

He passed her and then some x10.

Eddie Redmayne in drag, making out with Ben Whishaw?

Have I wandered into some gay Englishman's fantasy?

i.e. What goes on in Q branch the second after Bond leaves the room.

Both Tom Hopper and Eddie Redmayne have careers that scream Oscar Bait. It would have been interesting if we had a more interesting director/actor combo instead of this boring twosome.

Agreed.

I just can't see Bale in drag. He's too masculine

I hate Hooper as a director, hate him. Redmayne and Vikander look solid though.

Is Hooper the guy who relies on close-ups way too often or am I thinking of someone else?

It wouldn't be an attractive sight. Hardy, either. Too butch. JGL would be something I could get behind, though.

In more ways than one. :o

Maybe wandered into mine? Eddie Redmayne looks insanely like my husband and I think Ben Whishaw is adorable so. :o

Trailer looks good! I hope Tom Hooper has learned his way around camera lenses and steadicams. :oldrazz: But the acting looks like it'll be good, at least.

I mean, weezerspider is right. Redmayne and Hooper are the epitome of Oscar bait. It'll be good quality, but that not interesting in the end...

If we're going to be PC, why not nominate Redmayne for Best Actress, and then Leo can win for Best Actor? It's 2015 people. If Eddie is playing a character who feels that he is a woman, why wouldn't he get an Oscar for Best Actress?

Really?

Because the person portraying the character is MALE. Eddie Redmayne isn't female.

Because the award is for Eddie Redmayne, not his character, and Redmayne is not transgendered :whatever:

That's not what PC means.

You put no thought into this post, did you?

This is dumb.

There is so much wrong with this post.

But he's playing a transgender character, but he himself isn't a transgender.

Not interested. Just seems too "Oscar-baity."

Also, while we're on the subject of actors who should play women, I nominate Tom Hiddleston.
