Tom Hooper's The Danish Girl (Eddie Redmayne)

Not interested. Just seems too "Oscar-baity."

Also, while we're on the subject of actors who should play women, I nominate Tom Hiddleston.

Egon Spengler: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Peter Venkman: What?
Spengler: Don't make Tom Hiddleston dress in drag

Venkman: Why?
Spengler: It would be bad.
Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

Ray Stantz: Total ovary reversal!

If we're going to be PC, why not nominate Redmayne for Best Actress, and then Leo can win for Best Actor? It's 2015 people. If Eddie is playing a character who feels that he is a woman, why wouldn't he get an Oscar for Best Actress?

Tom Hiddleston has already done drag, guys. He played Darlene in the later seasons of Roseanne. :o

Rocketman has his moments where he's doing okay, then he'll say something so absurd and baffling.. without any irony. And then, everyone makes fun of him.

Then the outcome is usually:

a.) He'll defend his silly comment.

b.) Pretend that it never happen, doesn't learn from it, and moves on.

And this all falls into this cycle..

Okay, I don't care if it's "Oscar baity", or whatever people want to call it, I just watched the trailer for this and it looks moving.

I'll admit I don't fully understand the transgender thing, but I believe strongly that you get one life, and you should have the right to do whatever you can to find some peace and happiness.

I couldn't find much personal about Lili Elbe, and I just...really hope she was happy after the surgeries, because I can't imagine going through something like that, let alone when no one had ever done it before.

Yeah regardless of whether it's Oscar baity or not, it's a very effective trailer. I'm curious not only about Lili but as well as her relationship with her wife.

It's a moving enough story for sure, but I can't stand Hooper or Redmayne, and the reviews haven't been particularly compelling so far either, so IF I see it, it will be for Vikander's performance.

I like both Vikander and Redmayne but Hooper? Yeah... the less said, the better.

I wasnt awed by Redmayne's Oscar winning performance (Keaton deserved it!), but he seems to be actually very good in this. The best actor race is gonna be tough again, I think Leo, Redmayne, Johnny Depp, and Fassbender are gonna be in it.

the trailer made me feel bad for Vikander's character, but then i read the wikipedia article and i get the impression they are changing her sexuality to make it more "hollywood"

nice girl, why u're against giving her Oscar?))))
actually, it's not easy to play a woman role for a man, so maybe he deserves this award...
people would do everything for money and fame) he earned $350,000 for this movie, so i think he would play any-any-any role for such "benefits"
