Tom Rothman mentions the Letters Campaign

What about Pyro and Mystique?!!! lol j/k but I want them back.

not just that, what about ANGEL?

And I want Mystique back too, she should return. And Pyros too, to have a few known mutants for the final big battle or something.

-I see Anna coming back if Rogue has a good role. A meaningful one. She wasn't happy at all with X3, and she seems to want more action for her part. I'd say if they make her role right, she will come back (as she said on an interview when asked if she would come back, she positively said "Absolutely"). It won't be easy, as it wasn't easy for her coming back for X3 already, but I say it's possible, especially if she has a good role this time (now I'm aware of why Anna was the last memeber to join for X3. With such a role, who wouldn't think twice? I'm glad she chose to do Margaret though, at least she has a good movie coming out. Rogue would never have a major role on the movie, even if she had no Margaret filming. I've explanied why, 1000 times.)

-We're not sure if James will be a part of the second Superman movie (or are we?). He might have a tiny part, if Lois and Clark stay together this time (it's about time). In this case, I think he is the one who would like to come back. But FOX doesn't seem too thrilled on having James again. We have to wait and see. As a terrible, but last choice, we have re-casting. Fortunately enough, Cyclops uses a visor, that's a plus when recasting. I've seen actors who look like him on a thread. We'd have to see if they can act.

-Ian doesn't really need to be back. I can perfectly see an X-men movie without Magneto. We can have a great actor portraying a new villain (which is common on nowadays super-hero movies. It' not like the Batman franchise was over because Jack Nicholson left, or the Spider-man franchise because Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe left)

-Hugh Jackman leaving might be the toughest problem. Not because of Wolverine, but because of Jackman himself. But that is a risk that needs to be taken, if those executives want to keep getting money from X-men. Hugh is getting old (calm down fans), he can't play Logan forever. As much as it pains me to say, Gambit can take the loner role.

Falvio, I didn't understand your reply to my comment about Rogue being the new Jean. Don't know what you thought about it....

I don't really want Rogue to be the new Jean. Rogue should never go crazy and become evil. Maybe go crazy. Not evil. And it will never happen in a movie, unless it's only dediacted to Rogue. If they do the whole "getting crazy with powers", it will be horrible, because there will be no time to explore it. It would be as deep as a drop of water. I don't want her to be the new Jean. That's all.

If they ever do that and Rogue has a meltdown, it should definitely NOT be 'deep as a drop of water'. It would have to be a main part in the story.

Yes, I agree on the evil part. She isn't Phoenix, of course. But having seen Evolution, Rogue can have really great scenes concerning her power. She can be manipulated and absorves many powers, becoming a little crazy in some point. That would be amazing. And I think now that Jean isn't alive, she could have a bigger role. And in term of realtionships, she have Bobby now, and with Gambit, there would be a new love triangle, like the Logan-Jean-Scott. That's why I said it, she would have more than less the Jean role in the franchise, in term of screentime and relationships. More a little of a crazy side. This would be my ideal X4/X5.

And by that you mean: impossible :p Rogue will never get any love from those people. If F***ing Phoenix didn't have a main part, why would Rogue? I mean, Rogue?

Because I say so?

Heh I didn't really think that would work... How about because she's a great character?

Right, who am I kidding, they don't give a rat's ass about that.

Definetlly. Jean is dead, and if Logan don't return, there will be more space for the other x-men, so I think Rogue should be one of the characters that should have the biggest roles. Of course Storm will be a main character, now that she has the school in her hands, but then we have Rogue, one of the main characters of the first trilogy, so she should have, in my opinion, a better role next time. Yes, Kitty too, but I see Rogue in a bigger role, with the cure/powers back plot, Bobby and Gambit interest, etc. Kitty could have good development too, but right now, and beacuse all of this I've said, I see Rogue with a better role than her.

I gave up on hope that Gambit will ever be in any of the movies a long time ago though. And all the whining fanboys didn't help

I've just seen the atrocity I said. Rogue had a main part in X1. But I don't think she will ever have it again, though I pray for this. She's come downhill in each movie. If the trend goes on, she will appear as the Mansion's janitor in X4. It's time for Anna go all Halle Berry and demand some "meaningful screentime".

lmao the janitor! Ahh poor Rogue. But I think she won't be the only one. If they keep adding so many new mutants every time, nobody will get any character development in the end.

And I don't think it's Anna's style to go all Halle Berry. If she doesn't like it she just won't come back.

NO!!!! Ha ha, we all know how well that turned out...Halle thinks more meaningful screen time is just more scenes with her in it and scenes with lightning flashing all over the darn place. ;) So we'd have Rogue just standing there, absorbing people just for the heck of it.

Yes, Anna's not really Halle's style. But maybe she has a more proper view on what exactly "meaningful screentime" means...who knows, maybe for her, meaningful screentime actually means meaningful screentime. (Hey, "and I LIKE Halle Berry!!!")

X- Movies and great characters are not two words matching exactly each other...

Or better...great portrayal of characters

Portrayal. Funny.

I thought the writers/execs wrote down mutant names and character traits on pieces of paper, threw them all in a hat and then started picking out 'matches'.

Either that or they just threw darts - blindfolded while drunk, no less - at some gigantic character chart.

Sure would explain a lot anyway. :woot:

Still would be a step-up from X3. :woot:

Rogue would probably start slapping people with her gloves......

There are rules to remember . Oh yeah, one must process numbers, too.

Which requires slightly more than minimal brain activity. So, eh. :woot:

P.S. @JeanGrey: I'm not sure whether you're joining the fun or doing the exact opposite, but oh well...

DarthCyclopsRLZ you are one of my favorite posters, you make threads spicy, even if you are no Jean fan :oldrazz:. But i am joining heartfully the fun :woot::hyper:

You forgot the theatrical 'dum dum dum' sound effect.

Good to hear.

As for the Jean thingie, I could've been a Jean fan had Marvel decided waaaayyy back in the days to not let her and Cyke become so annoyingly co-dependants. :woot:

Oh, and there's the Omega thingie, but that one applies to all Omegas as far as I'm concerned, so... :woot:
