Well, one thing's for sure. Whatever happens with an X4, there will be disappointments. Most of you seem to want everybody to return, and that just ain't possible - the movie would be overcrowded, we already had people pushed into the background in the previous movies. You cannot possibly have all the existing characters plus several new ones. Not gonna happen. Start being realistic about what could be in X4. We can't have all the dead people coming back, all the cured people having major parts, PLUS a load of new characters. That's stooopid!

Cut the 'I want, I want' and start saying 'Realistically, I think'....

Jean: If you pair her up with someone, make it CONVINCING. Also, have her be more than the prize of a pissing contest and PLEASE, don't f**k up her most famous story-arc by having her take a backseat and turn into an impotent dimwit with daddy issues. Kinda takes away from the 'I am fire and life incarnate' thingy.

I would suggest that if Cyclops, Mystique or Magneto return, it is not done in the next movie. Rogue's powers returning could be included as a subplot. Perhaps Cyclops being shown near the end.

Mystique, if ever she comes back, should perhaps be in human form. She would still be vicious, sexy and intense, maybe she still has her agility (depends if they are part of her mutation or from training). She could still create a team, a new Brotherhood? Maybe she and Magneto search for a way of getting their powers back, trying to find a scientist or mutant capable of unlocking their x-gene.

The funniest IMO are the 'Bring Chuck and Cyke back, keep Storm around as headmistress of the school, keep Bobby, Kitty, Peter, Warren, Hank in the team and give them bigger role, have Rogue cured, introduce Gambit and then have the two be the main characters WOOOHOOOO!!!'

Unless you were being sarcastic, it's widely known that Xavier transferred his consciousness into his comatose twin brother in the movie. The writers said so. Patrick Stewart plays the part of the twin as well. The idea is based on the idea of Xavier's female twin Cassandra Nova in the comics.

You know what, this is completely out of the blue but that last line reminds me of that 'fart in the wind' line from the leaked script.

Not sure we had this exact conversation, but WTF was wrong with Fox for picking up a script that contained these exact words??? I mean, wow, it sure screams BRAINS and CLEVER all over the place, doesn't it????

Think about it. I'm talking real life here. Let's say you have a team project and have to meet in location X. Whatever. You arrive early. Only one of your teammates is there. He/She is writing frantically. Let's call him/her Hakkxx. You ask about the writing.

You: Hey, buddy, what's up.

Hakkxx: Hey. Not much. Just waiting for the other lazy bastards to show up.

You: Eh. What's that you working on?

Hakkxx: Short story for lit class.

You: Really? What's it about?

Hakkxx: Fantasy epic stuff.

Yes! we should say it to Fox too. Film both sequels together. Really, that would be the best for all. They won't have too many problems with actors, etc, and we'll have two more x-films for next three years.

And about new characters, I see:

X4: Gambit and Emma (more new villain... not sure which.... Sinister? or only Sentinels)
X5: Havok and Polaris

I think some of us may have to come to grips with the fact that there are a lot of politics swirling around this franchise. There are also a lot of loose ends left from X3. I predict the following:


1.) Halle Berry will become the top billed name in this franchise (let's face it people, whether we like it or not, she is their top actress, and she plays one of Marvel's top female heroines which makes it concrete)

2.) Charles Xavier will be reborn in his "new body", but he will not take back the mansion; he'll stay on side as an advisor to Storm

3.) Beast will remain

4.) IceMan will remain

5.) Rogue's powers will return (the cure will wear off naturally as hinted at the conclusion of X3)

6.) Gambit will finally be added (he'll take the "loner" position on the team that Wolverine formerly held)

7.) Emma Frost will be added (let us pray that Sigourney Weaver will still get the role--she would do brilliant and be very interesting to watch opposite Halle Berry...esp. since Storm and The White Queen are rivals

8.) Kitty will remain (look for a different actress; I don't think the last girl is going to stick either)

9.) Scott will be ressurrected and resume his role as field leader--which could provide interesting moments with Gambit

10.) Colossus will be remain

11.) And of course Magneto will return

Logan will probably make a brief cameo and then be gone...he'll have his own franchise by then and I think the studio knows people are sick of seeing him. Jean Grey will not be returning...to bring her back again would be stupid to mainstream audiences and would negate everything that happened in X3. Plus I don't think Famke is interested in coming back again...although it'd be ideal to see her opposite Scott one more time.

There are a myriad storylines they could develop featuring this "New X-Men" and still keep things fresh and innovative. With the right script and director X4 could challenge the success of its predecessors. I say keep Simon Crane for their action sequence direction, but lose Brett Ratner. I like Brett's visual style (and I appreciate what he did for Storm's character to an extent), but the ADD-styled editing made me angry...so much was lost.

Ya this must have been an interesting dream... I hope you are right though... I can't see them bringing back cyclops (unless its a reboot or entirely new sequel/cast) though unless the SR sequel doesn't conflict again and Marsden shows interest (if X4 targets say summer of 2010) I don't think there is any more room for Magneto other than a cameo

So according to FOX Wolverine and Remy are so alike right. Bunch of ****ers.

Logan has had it easy compared to Remy. No matter what he does he's still there team Mascot. Remy's been screwed front and back by the X-men and yet somehow he always goes back to them. Talk about F**king loyalty.

Take that FOX! Get your S#!t together and learn what you're working on and talking about before you decide to invest millions into it. Bold buisness moves my butt, more like ignorant and even pompous if you ask me.

the new love triangle should be Iceman, Gambit, and Rogue. I don't think Scott will ever return... even if Sinister or Emma was involved in a sequel... just make Storm and Beast the new leaders and move on... I still hope they bring everyone back but I doubt it...

Ok so Xavier will come back, Magneto has his powers, Mystique will get her powers back. She probably hates her now. Rogue will get her powers back (and some possible new ones?) Zak Penn confirmed Emma and Gambit if there is an X4. He said Apoc may be in it if he does X4. Also they are going to find a way to bring back Cykes and Jean. They have too. And Sabretooth is still alive. Maybe bring him back? And an Army of sentinels to fight off Apoc and his horsemen?

But about him... I think they could and should bring him back. Both the character and James deserve it. Seeing the actual team leaded by Scott would be amazing.
