The Forbes Fictional 15 Umm... HUH???

Source at forbes.com.

It's a great time to be imaginary.

Global markets are rapidly recovering from the 2008 financial crisis, and so are the fortunes of the fictitious. There are six new characters on the 2010 edition of Fictional 15, our annual ranking of fiction's richest, with an average net worth of $7.3 billion. In aggregate, the nine returning members are worth $79.8 billion, up 9% since we last checked in on them.

The write ups for Stark and Wayne are in the slide show. Catch Ozymandias at No. #7 too.

This whole thing is quite puzzling really. Who works out this stuff? Scrooge McDuck compared to the Tooth Fairy? :wow:

That's funny, I could have sworn I read that Scrooge lost it all during the .com bubble of the late 90's-early 2000's.

Let's hear it for Carlisle Cullen! Long live Carlisle!

LOL!

Troll. :woot:

Seriously though (well maybe not), immortality + premonition = cheating. :oldrazz:

1. There is no way the Cullens are worth billions from the impression I got from those awful Twilight movies.

2. Uncle Scrooge, Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, Ozymandias, and Richie Rich should have more money than what was listed.

I thought that was quite entertaining. I would've though Bruce Wayne would've been higher on the list though, like just behind Tony Stark.

As for the question as to how they figure this stuff out, they tell you on the homepage. They take the characters' apparent assets (homes, toys, clothes, etc), add to that their recorded sources of income (gold mines, oil, defence contracts, etc), and figure out their worth in real world terms. Oil and gold are al an all time high right now, which puts Scrooge McDuck and Jed Clampet up much higher than many other billionairs. With how unpopular the war in Iraq is, people are less inclined to invest in defence companies, which hurts Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne.

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense how they put it together and it is much fun.
