Runners up: Terry Bradshaw, James Brown, Andres Cantor, Skip Caray, Gary Cohen, Don Criqui, Jimmy Dudley, Joe Garagiola, Frank Gifford, Greg Gumbel, Tom Hammond, Sonny Hill, Ned Jarrett, Jaime Jarrin , Charlie Jones, Bill King, Jim Lampley, Cawood Ledford, Verne Lundquist, Tim McCarver, Joe Morgan, Bob Murphy, Van Patrick, Herb Score, Jim Simpson, Bob Uecker and Ken Venturi.

Joe Buck has no business being ranked ahead of Bob Wolff, Chuck Thompson, Phil Rizzuto, Harry Kalas, Pat Summerall (the biggest offender of all, since Summerall is one of the best NFL play-by-play men of all-time), and Tony Kubek (a groundbreaker in terms of the baseball color commentator).

O.K. Bob Costas is above Al Michales, Dickie Enburg, Keith Jackson, & Marv Albert:huh::csad::cmad::cmad:...Jim McKay????

Yea right-F that.

I got memories of some of these pro's goin back when I was a kid in the '80's- Costas is a dillhole compared.

I don't know how anyone can be ranked above Howard Cosell.... he should be #1 of All-Time.

Bob Uecker is an honorable mention? The man's nickname is Mr. Baseball for crying out loud!

But I think we all agree that Vin Scully should be #1 :D

Dick Vitale should have been ranked higher IMO.

Bob Uecker is an honorable mention? The man's nickname is Mr. Baseball for crying out loud!

Hell, Bill Walton is higher than them. BILL WALTON, are you kidding me.

And does anyone else hate Joe Buck?

But I think we all agree that Vin Scully should be #1 :D

The top 5 I can roll with for the most part...but past that...NO ESPN 'talent' should even crack the top 30 IMO.

I do like Joe Buck, he's knowledgeable, and he goes from baseball to the NFL well. Him and Troy make a good team, he gets a lil high on the horse sometime, but he's good to me.

I don't know why this list offends me so:cmad:

Brett Musburger being on this list makes it completely irrelevant.

Joe Buck? JOE BUCK? And how does Joe Morgan even get an honerable mention?

Also, I know this will be me burned, but Madden should be higher. The guy is an icon.

Jim Nantz is ahead of John Madden?

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Compilation lists like this will always draw scrutiny, but man, I'd like to know the criteria for placement here.

Atleast they didnt put a Gumbel up there.

Summeral should be ranked higher, like, way higher:huh:

Joe Buck wut? I think in terms of broadcasting skills Joe deserves to be on that list. But as a personality that gives the impression of being completely involved in the game I wouldn't rank him for anything.

Bob Uecker huh? Why is Chris Berman on that list? I find him more known for his ESPN studio work as opposed to calling play-by-play which is something he's really annoying at.

Real Sports did a piece on Al Michaels last night....it was interesting

This list is a travishamockery

Sincerely,Howard Cosell
