Because apparently they thought having a kid save the day is way cooler. Still can't believe that Megatron made Prime his little *****. It should've been way more even.

^But to be fair, often in the comics Megatron kicks the **** out of Prime as well. I recently read 'The Greatest Battle's Of Optimus Prime and Megatron' and it has about 8 encounters between the 2, in most of them Meg's kicks Prime's ass all over the place.
