Not sure how i feel about this. I thought the first game was pretty mediocre. Im thinking this will just be another rushed movie tie in.

According to Gamestop, if you preorder you get a gold skin for Optimus Prime and Megatron. Doesn't sound like much, though, unless I'm missing something here.

Yeah, I don't really get the whole gold version of things as bonuses, either.

Gold is valuable--even the virtual kind.

I'm probably not gonna play this game. If I'm gonna buy a Transformers video game, I'd much prefer to see the G1 or Beast Wars characters than the Bayformers.

I'll wait on reviews. I'm a sucker for giant robot action...such as my need to buy Virtual On from XBLA recently.

It actually never really appealed to me. Maybe I tried to play too many MechWarrior games, so I think of all giant robot games as boring, slow, and plodding.

I'm not a huge fan of anime in general, but I love giant robots for some reason.

Did you like that Transformers game they had for PS2 with Optimus, Red Alert, and Hotshot? It was really fun, and as close to G1 as you can get.

Problem with this game is I was burnt by the horrible first game.

I really want this to be good, but I'll be waiting to see what others and reviewers say about it. It does look good though.

The anime design aesthetic for mechs. Like Gundam and Robotech and stuff.

Ah, I see. Well, have you ever seen the mech designs for shows like Evangelion and RahXephon. There a lot less, I guess you could say, bland. The shows are probably not to your liking, but the mecha designs are more creative, if that's what you meant

I liked Neon Genesis Evangelion a lot up until the end, actually. Never really a huge fan of the design aesthetics in that either, though.
