Transformers Transformers: Toy Thread

As much as I like some of those TFA figures, I'm trying to keep my collection limited to the movie.

Because as a botcon exclusive it can never (and I mean never) be mass produced for retail. It in the contract that the company that runs the TF collectors club and BOTCON (and their GI-joe equivalents) have with Hasbro.

Never say Never:grin:

Sorry to bring this up again but I was wondering if any of you guys have seen this.

It seems that the Botcon rules do not apply to Takara.I'm not sure if Thundercracker will be sold as a set with Skywarp or alone but both will be store exclusive's in Japan.

There are 3 exclusive over three stores. Crystal Convoy is a toy show/E-hobby exclusive. Thundercracker is a website exclusive to some toy store and Skywarp is exclusive to Takara's version of Hasbro toy shop. But you'll note that TC is navy G1-toy colours as a opposed to Botcon TC sky blue cartoon colours. And they are still exclusives...

The Takara TC is hardly Navy Blue more like a Royal Blue. And the Hasbro/Bot-con TC is hardly Skyblue but it is much lighter then the Takara version.

But even with the shade differences and other paint apps differences there are a good number of similarities between the two.

And ether way it throws doubt to the theroy that the Bot-con exclusives can not be re-prodused or released at retail by Takara.

I'm curious, has there been any prototypes for Animated Swindle? I don't think I've seen any.

In hillsborough, which is near chapel hill in nc, deluxe class animated figures are out at wal-mart already. i saw prowl, ratchet, black arachnia, lockdown, bumblebee, and optimus. they also had the double pack of optimus and megatron.

I was going to buy master piece starscream, but it was 160 euro:csad: I was 20 euro short:cmad: and if I want to go back I need to get a 3-4 bus trip:cmad:

I still have my original Megs and Galvatron both unopened....do you know how hard it is to be 10 and not able to open such awesome toys....but keep in mind, I had no problems opening Blaster and Perceptor

Screw! I just saw Leader Bulkhead at my Toys'r'us at 99.90(WTF????!!!) As tempted as I was, I couldn't see myself putting that much cash down for a TF so soon. I just hope they'll still have him in a month or so.

WHAAAA?!? 99.99 how big is it? does it do house work for you or give you back rubs. 100 bucks, thats insane.

It the damn currency exchange thing. Funny thing is I thought the current exchange was USD 1 to SGD 1.65 or something....

But its big. Biggest Animated TF I've seen so far. I'm guessing the price can be attributed to the Light and Sound components...I'm still tempted really.

Do you have Dreadwind, Thundercracker, and Offroad Ironhide?

anyone here have the animated grimlock and have huge problems with him? i read some bad reviews for him that really bummed me out because i really wanted him...but i didn't know if the problems were on all of them.

Only problem I've heard about is that his robots arms won't go in far enough. I also saw a guide for fixing it too.

i also read problems with the animated starscream. however, i got him this morning and i think he might be my favorite one so far.

Another repaint but cool none the less. Masterpiece thundercracker. should be out soon. November 08 it says

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TAK10845&mode=retail

MP-07 Masterpiece Thundercracker measures 13” long in jet mode and 10” high in robot mode. Presumably this incarnation will incorporate an amber-hued cockpit bubble and the established dark blue, black and silver into Thundercracker’s ascetic color scheme. Like fellow Seekers MP-03 Starscream and MP-06 Skywarp, the intricately constructed Masterpiece Thundercracker is equipped with arm-mounted removable guns, and should be accompanied by decals, missile accessories, and a missile-rack display base configured to support robot and jet modes; Thundercracker should also include the switch-between facial expression gimmick featured in both Starscream and Skywarp. Thundercracker is one of the warriors comprising Megatron’s elite inner circle. His profile suggests a nagging reticence in regards to the validity of the Decepticon cause, although generally this characteristic translates as gruff indifference. Thundercracker is known for his contemptuousness of anything lacking flight capability. He is capable of achieving a flight speed of 1500 mph, and produces controlled sonic booms that can be heard for 200 miles. Like his longtime comrade, Skywarp, Thundercracker resents the very existence of Air Commander Starscream.

I'm sick of these repaints, I want new models dammit, bring out MP-08 Grimlock already :cmad:

I don't have MP Skywarp yet. Too broke. :csad: I need a real job that pays more than $200 a month. :o

Any one know what stores they sell the MP's at when they do come out? I was so out of the loop that this will be the first MP that I'm aware of before it comes out. I didn't even find out about the other ones till about three months ago. I just got lucky getting MP Optimus, actually it's not even Master Piece OP, Its the 20th anni one thats pretty much the same as the MP but with short smoke stacks. The only reason i got that is because a few years ago my girlfriend and my best friend each chipped in to buy it for me for xmas.

I might actually be able to buy this one before it goes to ebay and other sites for more money, so I need to know where they will be sold for regular price

Any retail store that sells toys, in Japan. So either an online store (pre-order for sure though), ebay, or a comic/hobby shop. But remember the retail price of these MP's is around $75-$80.
