What the hell is that? The vehicle looks like ratchet but what the hell does it change into. It looks like some kind of battle station with arms. Thats not what Ratchet and Iron hide looked like, is it? Thats surely not what they looked like in the cartoon. Do those even have heads. It looks like they drew a face on that plate behind the windsheild. I admit my memory isn't what it used to be (its that damn halflings leaf) but I don't remember ratchet and Ironhide looking like that, I remember them looking like robots

I checked it out. Wow I did not know thats what Ironhide and Ratchet toys looked like, that must be why I never had either of them.

Ayone know why they are like that? They don't even have heads. Why did they do that, its not like they were super complex robot in the show..... Gawd I hate that!!!!

That's G1 Ratchet/Ironhide. Of all the changes Marvel made to the Diaclones to make them better cartoon models the mini-vans are the most drastic. The Encore versions come with cardboard cut out heads.

I hate those, they look like transformers' ******ed little brothers, "Gobots". I guess they are cool becuase they are classics but I would never buy them

The encores are about as close as you can get without making a new figure. We'll probably see a Classics Ironhide/Ratchet. Based off the IDW designs (like classics Prowl and Sunstreaker are).

They made an Energon Ratchet that is pretty close to the anime look. However, its body separates into two halves; one turns into robot, and the other into a base.

Because as a botcon exclusive it can never (and I mean never) be mass produced for retail. It in the contract that the company that runs the TF collectors club and BOTCON (and their GI-joe equivalents) have with Hasbro.

"Never" you say??????There is 1 case that questions that policy.

The "Botcon Exclusive Fallback" and "Movie Target Exclusive Crosshairs" both homage's [at least in part] to G1 "Outback".

Botcons Fallbacks bio says that he's an upgraded body of the G1 character and Targets Crosshairs pain scheme is an homage to the same G1 character.

Now the pain schemes are different but its pretty obvious [at least to me] that the Target exclusive Crosshairs's paint job is a homage to G1 Outback and according to the character bio for the Botcon exclusive Fallback figure his is an an upgraded version of Generation 1 Outback.

Now both homage's used the same toy mold but different paint schemes.

So I dont see why Hasbro couldnt just do the same with the mold and change the paint scheme.

As far as I can tell even Hasbro is willing to break the "Exclusive" rules if it suits them.

Which Shockwave are you hopping for?????

Since the news was about Hasbro it might end up being a new figure since Hasbro is not doing reissues any more so my quess is ether an Animated figure of one from the Classic Universe line.

I want a MP Shockwave too but Hasbro applying for the trademark has nothing to do with the MP line.

The MP line is a Takara owned line first and for most.And I'm not sure Hasbro would bring over a MP Shockwave due to his size and being a gun.

And I havent seen any official confirmation on TFA Shockwave yet.And I havent seen any proto types ether yet.
