Wonderful! I've been waiting for Rorschach since I first saw the video journals. Of course they saved him till the end. :woot: I can't wait till that scene where he confronts the child kidnapper/murderer. It's probably my favorite Rorschach moment.

ive just watched it again and looks like there will be the dog killings :D

I'm pretty sure I saw him with the cleaver. That got me hyped (not that I enjoy seeing dogs get killed).

And its the same child actor who played Young Leonidas.
Of course he's also Zack and Debbie Snyder's son.

i knew they looked similar and i didnt know that he's Zach's son

Finally, the source of the mask is revealed. It's lycra, with the seam in the back, no seam front. Screenprinted on that, is the canvas texture, which gave it that "muslin" fabric look. Underneath the mask though, is a thin clear piece of plastic conforming to Jackie Earle Haleys face, which provides just enough relief for the spandex mask to stretch over giving it that "action figure-y" perfect look.

If anyone wants to get some white Lycra screenprinted with that texture, I'll do some facial shells.

awesome video journal, does anyone know if that last scene when he takes down a cop is in the comedians apartment?

so he confronts an officer at blake's apartment in the movie? hmm should be interesting

it's funny because i did not see that scene described in the first 22min. review

It might well be cut out of the movie, it's not all that long a sequence, though.

I just thought of something.

We all know that Zach was forced to trim down the theatrical cut from 2:45ish to about 2:35ish.

What if, when he redid the script when he came onboard the project, added a lot of stuff that wasn't in the book, knowing full well that the movie was going to be very long.

Adding stuff that wasn't in the book, so he could cut THAT stuff instead of stuff that WAS in the book.

looks like that Snyder is a Fanboy :D. he understands the importance of respecting the source material more than any regular director or A-lister. i find that big plus factor when it comes to adapting my favorite books and GNs.

you mean like a strategy thing with the studio?

hmmm maybe, but it doesnt make that much sense. if without adding unnecessary stuff would get it under 2:35 which is what the studio wants then why bother filming scenes he knows will get cut? its kinda waste of resources.

Because, he knew they'd want to cut things anyway. Why not beat them to the punch?

It's the same thing the BTAS people did. During their Robin's Reckoning episodes.

They'd put things in intentionally, because they'd knew they'd be cut. Which meant that other stuff they WANTED in, WOULDN'T be cut.

But it's not like they want to cut for cuttings sake. They're after a specific runtime. If he didn't bother adding stuff for no reason, the studio wouldn't need to cut. It'd be pointless for everyone to create scenes just to be deleted.

Dammit, I had the reason in my head but I forgot it when I got a text message. It was my point too.
