First of all, glad to hear, i always liked Ensemble very much, they were 1 of the 3 best RTS makers around (the others being Blizzard and Relic).
Robot Entertainment and Bonfire Studios are the two teams just created by the survivors of the Ensemble incident.
Robot is the more "officially" seen as Ensemble 2, not only because formed by Ensemble co-founder Tony Goodman, they are the team that is still going to suport Halo Wars and Age of Empires.
Bonfire Studios was created by 35 ex-Ensemble employees that wanted to start fresh, with no ties to the past.
Both are working on new Ips.

The question that remains is, which of the two teams (if any or both) is still under Microsoft?
I say that Robot as a good chance at that, not only because they are still going to suport Halo Wars (which is a MS Ip), they are still going to work in Age of Empires (which is a MS Ip too)

Robot seems to be more like Bungie. It's a private LLC like Bungie is. And also like Bungie, they look like they'll be exclusive to Microsoft even though they're a private company and working on Microsoft's gaming IPs.

We have to wait and see what Bonfire is doing before coming to a conclusion though.
