U.S. government agencies are still using Windows 3.1, floppy disks and 1970s computer

Well, we'll never have to worry about the Chinese hacking the system.

The North Koreans on the other hand, are catching up. They just got Windows 2.
 
This way, no need to hire anyone new and pay them salaries. :o
 
I'd be concerned about security problems but so many of these systems are so old they likely aren't even networked.


Also it kind of blew my mind how long it took for the computers on board the space shuttles to be updated.

Again though it's one of those systems where its a complicated system based around a certain kind of hardware and replacing the hardware meant replacing many other things that while newer weren't inherently better.
 
The same people who say the USA should update their system are probably the people that are irritated that Hillary Clinton got sensitive emails to her phone. Having incredibly important information on hardware linked to the internet sounds absolutely moronic.
 
I guess that's why my parents always say carry cash instead of cards or online payments.
