Where would you rate this rather original comic book type of movie?

For me its way up there. Samuel L. Jackson's Mr. Glass was a perfect villain, and Wills as the hero delivered the goods.

Great movie, should have had a sequel, but never will.

The only truly "realistic" and "grounded" superhero movie, in my opinion.

Thank ya! I'm a wonderful actor.

In my top ten of all time.

That massive 'fro you had was a performance in and of itself.

I had never heard of the movie before that bad bad empire magazine list of top 30 CBM super hero movies so i have no clue what it is about.

This is still in my top 5 superhero movies(at #5). That score was just...wow! Aside from Williams's Superman score and Elfman's Batman score this has the best, most memorable score in a superhero movie ever.

9/10

Basically it's the ultimate 'What if a superhero existed in the real world?' type movie. Even more than say, KICK-ASS! is.

Great movie, prob my favorite M Night film. Loved both Jackson and Willis in it. Always wished there'd be a sequel, but sadly I agree there probably won't be.

It's the only M Night film I saw and loved.
Besides Stewart Little.

It was a decent flick. Definitely, M Night's best work.

This is one of the top superhero films, for sure. And I would call it Shyamalan's best work as well. An incredibly subtle mood piece that takes the basic familiar concept and makes an intimate, character-driven drama out of it. There really is nothing else like it in the field even taking into account the more sophisticated takes we've seen since its release. This was the first movie to apply greater depth and pathos to the concept in film. Easily some of the best performances from the two leads, as well.

Here's one thing I never quite got:

Willis got a vision of Shymalan (in cameo) doing a drug deal at the stadium, but didn't find drugs when he frisked him. Why?

Watched this again after it was revealed [BLACKOUT]Split was a semi sequel[/BLACKOUT]. Still a great film and Shyamalan was really on form in those days. Really [BLACKOUT]can't wait for the sequel and seeing and liking Split[/BLACKOUT] a lot.

Top quality film with all elements working perfectly.

I actually saw this for the first time a couple of months ago. A good movie, but I had expected a bit more than what I got.
