i want to know what exactly is a Unlocked Cell Phone, i want to know if it means i dont need service provider like T-Mobile and i can use the phone features like text messaging or sending a email for free

I'm pretty sure it means, it's unlocked for all networks.

Like you can buy a phone which only works on Orange. but some shops will unlock it for you so it works on all networks.
