So...who is going to be awesome with me and play this game?

Anyone...?

Anyone...?

Seriously?? Am I the ONLY Unreal fan over here?

I played it for a day then put it in a drawer.
If you want to save money get UT99 or UT2004, both are much better games.

I've played the hell out all the Unreal Tournament/Championship games so far. :/

Is III really that bad? :(

It's not bad for what it is, it's just...not as good as ut99/2004, it feels more like a step backwards, stuff has been taken out instead of put in.

for anyone thats played CoD4, it will be hard to get into UT3.

bc CoD4 is the best FPS out there on the market. I used to not like console FPS and UT used to be my favorite FPS series but CoD4 changed both of those opinions for me. It raised the bar. There were alot of FPS released in that short time frame last fall, and COD4 surpassed all of them. I bought both and probably touched UT3 a few times but have played the heck out of CoD4

Yeah, I understand that. I know Call of Duty 4 is great and all, but Unreal is a completely different experience. They're not interchangable.

The multiplayer is decent, but the single player didn't raise the bar, not by any means imo, It's practically Call of Duty 2003 with skins, although the ending was excellent.

Couple of examples, Liner lead by the hand game play, the enemy's for the most part are like shooting ducks in a barrel, invisible barrier's all over the place, certain set pieces, like the truck and helicopter towards the end are almost game play wise the exact same as a section in cod 2003, this guy explains better

IMO Halflife 2: episode 2 and Portal were the best fps thus far this gen, but it's subjective, obviously. Crysis could have been, it had the game play and the lush graphics, but cookie-cutter story, characters, like most of Crytek's games are throw-aways, what a wasted opportunity.

I never played COD3, so I wouldnt know. I absolutely loved the single player in Cod4. Its the first part of the game I experienced and amazed me

I found the gameplay more of the same, but the ending much like Halflife episode 2 was very unexpected and memorable, you get so use to the "Hurray we saved the day!" type endings every time you finish a game.

Ditto. The Half-Life series really deserves to be crowned the best FPS series, ever. As much as I love CoD4, it's all about The Orange Box

I to think Half-Life needs to be crowned for that reason. Definitely on my top 10 list!

Yeah, I agree. Half-Life is the best.

Well kez, I really wish I would have posted this thread before I reserved and payed for this game.

I played it for a day then put it in a drawer.

After owning the game for a single day this has been my experience as well.

Such a shame.:csad:
