I get why they wanted to do a new story. I really wanted a sequel to the game where we see new horror scenarios, but instead we get The Dark Picture Anthology and The Quarry and they were just mid.

Probably getting a sequel then. I haven't seen it but it looks it didn't take a whole lot from the game.

I was really bummed out to hear it doesn't even try to be anything similar to the game at all, combined with the bad reviews. Why even adapt the game if you're not interested in staying remotely close to the story? If you're gonna change key elements you need to hit a massive homerun to win fans on board.
