They just had to go and change the title, though, didn't they?

It's Edge of Tomorrow all over again.

Didn't you guys get the memo? Studios don't green light projects unless a colon has been added to the title or it's been reduced to the most basic vanilla level.

Title thing aside, I could be into this. Just from what I've read of the book, it seems a better fit for Singer than something like Jack the Giant Slayer.

I don't trust him when he's not doing an X-Men movie. I don't know what's up with his career..that creative drive only involves mutants these days.

I actually really liked Valkyrie. This film feels more like it can stretch his creative muscles over something like Jack the Giant Slayer.

^ I also really liked Valkyrie. It's not up there with Schindler's List or anything, but it was a strong, tense WWII thriller. He got me hoping that they'd succeed and kill Hitler... when that obviously wasn't going to happen.

It was very tense. And for a few minutes, Singer actually convinced me that they succeeded in killing Hitler when obviously it wasn't the case. But it takes serious skill to do that.
