Absolutely loved the first one. Wasn't crazy about the second one. I had no idea they were making a third one. I'll probably see it on DVD unless it gets a limited release somewhere near Pittsburgh.

On a related note, the segments in The ABCs of Death ranged from horrible to truly awful, in my opinion. However, the dog-fighting segment was one of the better ones so I'm (cautiously) looking forward to Marcel Sarmiento's segment.

Really liked the first one and didn't think much of the sequel. I'll probably check this out.

i liked the first one, I'm really big on horror films and it takes alot to creep me out, but "Amatuer Night" on the first VHS creeped me the hell out. Everything in that short worked so perfectly, that chick was completely out of control lol

The sequel was on par with the first one mainly due to the Gareth Evans short.

Yeah, the first one was top...second one sucked a lot...willing to give this one a chance.

Very excited for this, loved the first 2.

V/H/S 2 was okay, but the first one was terrible.

I thought the first two were pretty decent. Plus I like anthology horror films AND found footage.

Here's another trailer. Does the red band one give too much away? I kind of want to go in cold and see this in theaters.

Just saw it today....here's my review.

As a big fan of the previous V/H/S movies, I have to say this is a big f***in letdown on a colossal scale. You can tell none of these amateur directors knew what the hell they were doing or knew why the last couple films worked. The first segment had a seemingly good idea, a murderous magician looked good on paper, but from the very first scene it just went downhill fast. It was pretty much laughable how awful it was executed. The parallel dimension segment had some promise for the most part, but once you get to the end, it's fails miserably. The skater segment was somewhat decent but the kids that you follow are so damn annoying and horrible at getting a legit reaction, you want them to die. The wrap around segment was so forgetful and stupid how it wants to tie in the previous films, that you want this movie to be over fast. It makes the weaker segments from V/H/S 1 & 2 look like masterpieces. Skip this awful attempt at horror.

This was crap. The magician story was pretty cool right up until they dropped the ball with the halfassed ending, and the parallel universe segment had a very interesting premise that was inexplicably abandoned in favor of [BLACKOUT]penis & vagina monsters[/BLACKOUT] but the skater story was crap throughout with the very worst sort of annoying characters (and maybe the poorest camerawork I have ever encountered) and I don't know wtf one is supposed to draw from the wraparound. Nothing meaningful or entertaining, anyway.

Also whoever is responsible for the constant VHS-style bad tracking/static simulation needs a good swift kick in the nards. You could cut 5 solid minutes off the runtime if you dropped all that crap. Less is more, bro.

I love found footage but there are people who don't and lazy films like this only give those people ammunition and hurt the genre. This is one of those films. Don't give it money. Don't recommend it to people. Just pretend it doesn't exist. Avoid avoid avoid.

I've heard many say this one was horrible. Lame I loved the first 2.

Yeh this movie blew chunks. It had some really cool concepts but decided to **** on them.

Its quite disappointing becauee im a big fan of the found footage concept and I think there is still a lot more that can be acomplished with it but it seems a lot of film makers get it all wrong.

Hopefully then for a 4th film they go back to what the first two were doing.
