I actually thought the reboot held promise but as with a lot of things on network TV they tried to please every single demo and came out with a product that had no identity because of it. Also, the subplots with the young actors and the performers themselves were just such blatant pandering.
I think that the ideas in the original don't lend themselves to a two hour movie. The themes are best when explored for a longer narrative period. I do think the message of V is more timely than ever.
I used to love that. The awesome Michael Ironside, and I thought Jane Badler as Diana was one of the hottest things I'd ever seen! Never bothered with the TV remake.
