Maul nearly ran over Vader, and that really was their first and only encounter.... but, if we would take both these guys in their prime, place them in a arena.. who would reign supreme... who would be the ultimate sith bad-ass.....

I will say, Maul could've been just as good if Lucas had actually written him interestingly. And didn't kill him off immediately.

C'mon. The Black Knight in "Monty Python & The Holy Grail" was more bada$$ (not to mention more durable ) than Darth Maul. Vader could crush Maul like a bug just by breathing on him.

Besides, they settled this already in Star Wars Tales (yeah, I know it was a friggin' clone, but consider the source: "At last we will have our rev...oops, guess not, a Padawan just cut me in half.")

Except that he has "OOoh! spooky HORNS all OVER. The Devil only has TWO horns, this guy has 20!"

He wears make up

He needs to brush his teeth. Probably too late, needs dentures.

He flips around like a ballerina, whirling like a precious little belly dancer.

It took a combination of a Jedi, AND the freaking Emperor to kill Vader.
Maul was swiftly taken out by guy who wasn't even a Master yet.



The only part where he started to cross over into, "YES! C00ler than Vader?!?", was when he was behind the force field gloating and raring to unleash.

I swear Steven Spielberg suggested that part to George, 'cause George is no longer capable of inventing such cool moments.

No contest, Darth Maul is the second most badass villian ever possibley, maybe third behind Captian Barbossa, but seriously Vadar is the ultimate bad guy, there never has been, and possibley never will be one as hardcore as Darth Vadar

well, it shouldn't even be recongnized as cannon.....

I also read something a long time back that said vader was basically all human still, except for his right arm, that was cut of by the emperior in punishment for the death star blowing up...

Maul would dance around saying a forboding sentence every once and a while much like he did in the movie. He would finally do a triple axel towards vader in which he would be stopped in mid air by Vaders force grip. Following this, Vader would promptly use his force grip to, for lack of a better word, detonate mauls head, but not before using his light saber (which he swings quite slowly to extend his pleasure) to perform a slow casteration on Maul, which he does as a favour in order to give Maul an excuse to dance around with a lightsaber and give the sith a bad name. Vader would then take pictures of the corpse in silly positions, and fly his death star to mauls homeworld, in which he would blow up.

Vader would then take a nap, and continue owning prequal characters, such as dooku, and finally Jar Jar Stinks.

Vader would win, but had Lucas been smart and used Darth Maul to full potential, then we'd have a debate.

I hated Grievous.
He was badass in the Clone Wars cartoon, but they fecked him up in the movie and made him a tool.

I really liked Darth Tyranus (or Dooku), though.

Darth Maul should've been in all 3, though.
