Ok, here is a test of how old you are, comic-book wise.

Valiant is coming back.

The best company of the early '90s, (yes, sadly also the one that spawned the UltraLimitedEditionPlatinumHolographicCover mess) is set to relaunch itself, delayed only briefly by a IP fight.

They'll still have to talk to Random House about the main three characters Turok, Magnus, and Solar, but the rest is ready and primed for return beginning with two hardcover trade paperbacks set for release in April 2008:

Harbinger: The Beginning reprints issues #0-7 of Harbinger with a brand new story of Harada's beginning from Jim Shooter himself.

X-O Manowar: Rebirth repreints issues #0-6 of X-O with a brand new story of Lydia by Bob Layton.

The website for the new company launches Feb. 15th.

Amid a world of Secret Invasions, Final Crises [sic], undone Spider-Man marriages and R.I.P. Batman, will Valiant be able too garner the success it had to rival the big 2?

Or at least the smaller big 2 (Image & Dark Horse)?

Valiant only ****ed up because of poor financial planning. If they can draw an A-list of talent away from the big 2 long enough to re-establish themselves, I don't see why not.

Poor finacial planning that led to Acclaim taking them over.

Acclaim = immediate failure.

Pretty much. THey've been tossed around since. I hope to see Dr.Mirage back in print at some point though.
