Yeah, wonder why, its only a movie about Nazi Germany.

Branaugh looks like he was going for a sort of half German accent. He did play Heydrich in the HBO TV movie Conspiracy, so he has somewhat the experience at playing a Nazi officer.

I guess I am disappointed that Cruise made no effort at an accent. Its like he thinks hes too good to go that distance and that people will automatically buy his performance. Maybe they tried and Cruise sucks at accents so they went the Kevin Costner Robin Hood way....oh well

Movie looks good though, as does most Singer movies.

It does look very good and the production look reminds me of Pans Labrynth.

I don't like Cruise's costume. Too different from the comics...er...history. His badge is too small and the red on his uniform not bright enough. And does Hitler have a kid in this one? Cruise's neck is too skinny and he doesn't look muscular enough.

Agreed, it looks like a November release to me. They are putting it out in August which will be after the market has been flooded with fantasy/action movies, so they may think the change of pace at the end of summer will hit big.

Wow..That looked really good. Good call Hunter on Pan's. Cruise looks very convincing, and the accent doesn't bother me whatsoever.
