Absolutely amazing!

It would have been nice if the German accents were kept intact; hopefully this isn't something that detracts viewers from giving the film any credit.

Looks fantatic. Definitely looking forward to this. I been waiting for Singer to do a thriller again for a long time.

Looks really good.

I'd have preferred if they used German accents though in the movie. Most of those actors are capable of doing one. I'd like to know why they opted not to.
I don't like Cruise's costume. Too different from the comics...er...history. His badge is too small and the red on his uniform not bright enough. And does Hitler have a kid in this one? Cruise's neck is too skinny and he doesn't look muscular enough.
ROFL:woot:

Looks like a well-crafted suspense movie. The subject matter is fascinating.

The trailer looks fantastic, but I am a bit disappointed that they're not using German accents. I could have been fine with Kenneth Branagh's half-crooked accent, but Cruise didn't even attempt to sound different. But that shouldn't be a problem, I believe this will be a good movie.

In all seriousness: What does Tom Cruise say to Brannagh's character at the end of the trailer? For some odd reason, I can't make out what he says...

Damn that looks good. Singer is gonna kill with this one hopefully. Cruise has my respect back if this turns out as good as it looks.

I was surprised they weren't using accents either. But still, I think it'll be fine.

The lack of accents when playing nazis is kind of weird. especially cruise for some reason. Its just so distracting.

I would of atleast expected one from Brannagh as his done one in pretty much every nazi movies his made.

Loved the trailer. Dunno y but everytime i watch it, i keep thinking that the opening shots of him buttoning his coat thing, then hugging his son and dancing with his wife is the morning of the event... just thinking that i think its soo beautiful lol.

it's very distracting with Tom's weird American accent with a slight German emphasis on certain sounds, with Cs and Ks.

The lack of German accents is distracting to some of you?
I, quite frankly, find accents annoying. Just because you put on an accent doesn't mean you're magically speaking whatever language it is you're using the accent of. You're still speaking English.

Personally I either want the actor's to speak the language their characters are supposed to be speaking, or just go with their own language without accents.

Did it bother anyone that Gerard Butler didn't speak in a Greek accent during 300? Or that Russel Crowe didn't have an Italian accent in Gladiator?

The Romans were not techiquely 'Italian'..yet. lol.

with me, it's fine if there's European accents. Look at the past adaptations of the 'Three Musketeers'; in most cases, British actors were involved, not French.

My problem is Tom Cruise. I do enjoy his work, but he's not a good character actor.

He's the most Ameircan sounding in the Nazi Bunch, and to me, it's a bit distracting. I'm not saying it's a bad movie.

Irrational Tom Cruise hate is present. "He sounds TOO American!"

Well I will counter with "Terrence Stamp sounds too British!"

I personally don't mind captions. I'd have em all speaking German the whole time. Trailer looks pretty good btw.

lol@showmealltheblueprints

Well, with Bryan Singer directing, I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this...

What if Christian Bale had used a Welsh accent in Batman Begins!?

Valkyrie Scrubs Mission Against WALL•E, Wanted
Source: Box Office Mojo
December 15, 2007

Universal's recent decision to move the James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie action-thriller Wanted from March to June 27 made that summer weekend a bit crowded with tentpoles considering Disney/Pixar's WALL•E and the Bryan Singer-directed Tom Cruise thriller Valkyrie already occupied that date.

United Artists seems to agree, as the studio has now moved back Valkyrie to October 3, 2008. Two other films are scheduled to open on that date as well - Sony comedy Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and the Guy Ritchie drama, RocknRolla, with Gerard Butler.

Valkyrie co-stars Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Patrick Wilson, Stephen Fry, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten, Eddie Izzard, Halina Reijn, Kevin McNally, Christian Berkel, Terence Stamp and David Schofield.

I knew that was going to happen. Better anyway. Valkyrie doesn't look like a summer movie.
