This is a long shot to ask on here, but I've been asking a lot of places, but
Me and around 6 of my friends (all are 22-23 yrs old) are thinking about doing a 4 day trip somewhere in probably mid March around the 17th.
We've narrowed it down to these 3 choices (Vegas, Miami, or NO) and I was just wondering has anyone around my age have any huge inclination to one of the locations?

If it matters: 5/6 with us are single, all of us are straight, and 2 of us are non white...just it case your opinion will change depending on if a city is more intolerant than another....

Anyway, we're looking to get some drinks in, get with some girls, gamble a little, etc. To be honest, we're not looking to sight see or trying to do any of the family based stuff.

We're all from the east coast and have budgeted it out and we'll be spending around the same amount to get to/stay at any of these locations hotel wise.

So yeah I was just wondering if anyone has been to these locations, any time of the year, and would recommend on over the others

I've been to Vegas, and it was a disappointment.

As you may know, you're allowed to openly carry alcohol around in Vegas. I didn't feel very safe walking down the Strip because of that. Homeless people, drunks picking fights with each other. It's really not as glamorous as movies make it out to be.

Also, prepare for HEAT. People often forget that Vegas is in the middle of a desert, and it certainly feels that way.

Vegas is a fun novelty experience, little more.

I haven't been to the other two places (Miami airport but that doesn't count), but I think New Orleans is your best bet.

The city, full of people, ready to belieeve in goood.

I've been to all 3 locations. When I did Vegas I was 13 so I def didn't get to experience it as an adult but I still had a good time. There is a ton of stuff to do there but it's freaking expensive. But there are a ton of really cool shows to see and you will eat like gods there, no joke the buffets are insane and pretty damn cheap. Also a lot of the casinos will give you free booze as long as you're gambling, obviously the endgame there is you hopefully get stupid drunk and lose a lot of money but if you're smart about it you can work it to your favor. Also there's plenty of good looking ladies there but most are strippers or working girls.

New Orleans is the one I def don't think you should waste your time with. Even if you go during Mardi Gras it's def a town you have to be careful in. There is a good deal of crime there and if you get lost its really easy to end up in a bad part where you can get robbed. On the plus side though there is def a good sense of history there with the buildings and the food is so freaking good! If we were talking about just food I'd actually say go there since creole/Cajun cuisine is hands down the best food in America as far as m concerned. But for what you guys are looking to get into I'd pass.

Now Miami is the place you want to be. I may be biased as a Floridian myself but believe me when I tell you this is going to be what you're looking for. First off there is just beautiful women all over Miami, it's freaking ridiculous the amount of gorgeous girls condensed into that area. The club scene is off the chain, I'm talking about some of the worlds best DJs there pretty much every weekend. Then you have beautiful beaches and the added bonus that a good chunk of the previously mentioned beautiful girls walk around those beaches topless since that's completely acceptable in Miami. The food is great as well since Cuban cuisine is in my top 3 of fave things to hit. And that's just if you hit the cheap local joints. There are also world renowned chefs working at plenty of restaurants there as well but of course that's going to be a bit mor expensive. I also think March is when spring break is going down so you'll have an influx of young hotties as well. I know there is the Hard Rock casino in Hollywood which has one of the best poker rooms in FL along with all the usual casino games too. Plus the public transportation in Miami is kick ass.

So I'd rank them in this order:
1. Miami
2. Vegas
3. New Orleans

Hope this helps

Plus, Dexter is in Miami so you're safe.

True. If you're in Alaska and you need some wood, he's your man.

I've been to Miami and Vegas.

It really depends what you and your friends want to do.

Vegas has day trips to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, etc.

They have dune buggies, white water rafting, etc.

Miami has the beach and water sports.

They both have famous nightlife with tons of clubs. Vegas you can gamble.

Again, what you and your friends are interested in doing.

New Orleans is probably the most boring of the three. Unless you're there for Mardi Gras or history.

I'd say Miami and Vegas are far better choices for young guys looking to party.

If you want to spend times in glitzy clubs (or strip clubs) with beautiful women, either one will do the job.

Vegas has the edge because you can gamble. Which could be fun or fiscally dangerous demanding on your self control. Now a days I only play poker tournaments. You spend only 100-150 dollars per tournament and get to spend a couple hours gambling. If you play other games you risk getting addicted and losing thousands.

Been to Vegas dozens of times, the heat never bothered me even when it hits 100+ and all the casinos have air condition and tons of pools there.
The strip is usually the safest place to walk around except late at night, places outside the strip not so much after dark. Never had problems with drunks around the strips, just those annoying people around the corners trying to push those hookers ads BTW hooking is illegal and those ads I wouldn't call no matter how much someone pay me.

A group of friends going somewhere in March? Why not think about West Palm Beach? It's spring break season so you'd get a lot of run at beach towns, Miami being the king.

If it were any other time I think I'd chose Vegas, but you'll be young enough to experience and appreciate the madness that Spring Break can have. Miami it is.

The last time I was in Vegas, it was March 2008, and it wasn't all that hot. But it was unbelievably windy.

You're my hero.

New Orleans, man. The other places you can still go to when you get tied down with wives, kids, etc. Not New Orleans. Bourbon Street is like Disneyland for drunks, perverts and lowlifes, so naturally I felt right at home.

It's November and has been in the 90's here in FL, we also have about 100% humidity. I love it. In the summer it gets 100 degrees easily and a nice cool ocean breeze by the beach here. I hate cold weather with a passion

My oily skin disagrees with the heat.
