I've been using Windows Media Player to watch all of my videos and DVDs, and I've typically had no complaints. Thing is, for the longest time, I just assumed Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd was intentionally filmed very darkly, because I could hardly make out the backgrounds, and I assumed the entire movie took place at dusk/early dawn. Then I saw the movie on HBO, and realized that my video settings were just way too damn dark.
I know how to go to the Enhancements frame and change my brightness and contrast, but every time I close WMP or open a new video, the settings go back to their normal "too dark to see" settings.
Is it possible to set my brightness and contrast permanently? If not, can anyone recommend a good alternative video player?
