Connecting the TV to the PC with S-Video

Ok so here is the deal:

I set up the Video settings to clone the image of my monitor onto the screen.
Worked.

I opened a movie in Windows Media Player
The Video on the screen worked but it was black on my TV

I re-tried with AVS DVD Player
Video played on TV, but Div-x Codec is Not compatible with it so it wont play sound on my speakers

I re-tried in Nero Essentials Player
Sound played, video showed on both PC and Monitor but it was choppy and bad quality

So My Question:

How can I:

1. Disable the TV as Monitor 2 to re-try it as a "Spanned" monitor and put WMP in that monitor

2. Get WMP to play on the TV?
