Viva Pinata for DS

...that's...weird...MS and Nintendo...getting along enough for MS to release a title the own on a rivals system? That's like back when it was Sega and Nintendo competing if Sega went, "what the hey, here's a Sonic title for gameboy!"...

I dunno, Nintendo is kind of in their own zone. They aren't really the rival for Microsoft or Sony. And Microsoft doesn't have a portable system, so I could see them being cool wiht Nintendo.

Who doesn't like Nintendo, they are the cuddly bear of the gaming industry.

It's not as much Microsoft as it is Rare. While Microsoft won't let them make games for a Nintendo console, I can understand why they're more or less ignoring the fact that Rare is putting out portable games for an opponent. Like Geo said, they couldn't care less b/c they don't have a portable of their own yet; in fact, it could help them by hurting Sony via PSP sales.

also, if people who dont own a 360 buy and love the game, there's a chance they'd buy a 360 for Party Animals and the original Viva Pinata, which I'm sure will still have more content by a long shot than the handheld version...

Microsoft is always putting their games on Nintendo systems. I know the "Oddyssey" games made an outing (when MS still had publishing rights) that there is a MechAssault series was in development, Rare's games of course, and Geometry Wars is supposed to come out on the Wii.

Maybe Nintendo could return a favor... like Ocarina of Time ported to the Xbox360... with achievements of course. :D

maybe they're doing this to try and get Goldeneye for the XBLA...a deal of some sort :o

But Nintendo doesn't own Goldeneye. Hence why it will probably (Sadly) never show up on the Virtual Console.

dont they own the distribution rights to it still? And Rare owns the actual game? or do I have faulty info?

I don't really know the specifics. I just know that there is some legal reason why Nintendo can't release it on the VC. I'm sure it has to do with Rare and Microsoft's relationship now.
