if you go to www.elfyourself.com and follow the steps, they give you a phone number to call (its free) and whatever you say is recorded in an "elf/munchkin" voice. pretty funny stuff

Yeah, I do it by uh. It's sort of like I'm talking from my lungs. Makes it all grainy. Mayhaps it's the same for that mature authoritative woman voice.

No, because I know a girl who has tried to multiple times and it's a pain in the butt and isn't really fair. You have to go through a lot of eliminations to even get to audition in front of the judges. And a main elimination doesn't even involve singing......they just put you into a group of like 5 at a time and pick people out randomly based on appearance.

when i was in high school, there was a girl i knew a grade above me who's the best singer i've heard in person (like someone i know, not counting celebs). our chorus concerts used to sell out cuz of ppl wanting to hear her sing.

she got signed to badboy a while back and i saw her in one video, but i don't think she's with them anymore. last time i talked to her, she said she was trying to get back in the studio

from what i know, you audition before producers or something before you ever get a chance to see the judges, that is if you get that far.

that's why when you see the montages, you see some contestants you've seen already audition singing different songs and stuff.

that's why the bad auditions aggravate me most of the time. i'm always thinking that for every bad person they let thru for laughs, that's one less person who's missing out on a chance to pursue their dream
