What is Voice Compare? Basically, many voice over characters are represented in various forms of media again and again, either reintroduced to a new generation in animation, in sequels for video games or replaced by other voice actors like in many cases of dubbed anime.

Voice Compare brings together these same characters and their voice acting counterparts so not only can you see all the real life faces next to each other, but you can also listen to audio sound clips of their representation of the character and compare.

ignoring the blatent site advert. comparing a voice across live action and animation doen't work. since cartooning is eliminating detail and emphasizing broad traites, and the voice work should match that. and even with that ignored the overall style of the work is a factor. burt ward for example is very good in the context of a campy tv series. wouldn't be so good in a nolan film.

we don't include live action performances. Just voice acting (cartoons, dubbed anime, video games). We do manage to sneak around a bit

e.g. Christian Bale voiced Batman in the Batman Begins video game, same with Tobey Maguire for Spiderman video game
