Wall Street II: Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone are Back

I don't know about that....I have no issue with LaBeouf and I don't think Stone would have put him in a movie with Frank Langella, Michael Douglas, and Josh Brolin if he didn't think he could hang on screen with them

I like Shia, always have. These haters are looking far into these celebrities personal lives instead of focusing their critic on their WORK. Shia has been in 2 weak films. I have loved all his other stuff (counting the films he's a lead in, of course).

As an actor he's very natural and convincing in his deliveries. He's brilliant. People are so jealous.

I always liked Shia as well. He has this natural energy and comedic timing to his acting that very few actors have. Plus he can play dramatic and serious when he needs to.

Yeah, I agree. There are so many talentless young actors out there... Shia at least has some natural charisma and screen presence. I'd take him over a lot of the young hacks in Hollywood that agents and studios try to pass off as actors.

I like Shia as well. I don't really get where the hatred comes from, other than the trend where it seems when someone suddenly does a lot of popular movies it becomes "cool" to hate him.

I blame Theater Hopper....they literally spent an entire summer worth of strips hating on the guy, part of the reason I stopped reading it

I already saw this movie before the rest of the U.S. I feel special and important lol. Seriously though I saw this movie at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May. They had 3 showings of the movie, I saw it at the early morning showing. I tried to get tickets for the red carpet premire but sadly I could not. But I did go the the premire just to watch the stars walk the red carpet!

Anyway, the film is excellent one of my favorite films at the festival. I had never seen the first wall street movie but this was just a great film. Shia is a great actor who can do serious and drama roles as well as comedic momments. Micheal Douglas was also great and still has power to keep you glued to the screen. I would'nt spoil the movie for you guys but the story is very good. I thought it was going to be boring but it wasn't. Go see the movie when it comes out guys. You will not regret it!

thanks Para....good to see that people enjoyed, even if you haven't seen the first film...which I highly recommend, if you can find it

is it odd that other than black swan this is the movie I'm looking forward to the most for the rest of the year?

not really...Ive only recently heard of "Black Swan' but after seeing a trailer (which is quite intense) I can see why its built the buzz it has

They have just released a new Special Edition, at least they have here.

I have the original DVD release and its also on Netflix Watch Instant

I don't have a problem with Shia, but I will admit that he says "nono" a LOT.

The thing is, after that video hit the web, I have yet to hear him say No No No No No No any more. Even in Transformers 2, I don't think I heard it as much, if at all.

Hehe, I don't know, I haven't really paid attention, I just thought it was funny.:cwink:

This film was okay. It started off good, the Wall Street jargon was hard to follow, but I could still connect to the story because of the actors. Michael Douglas is still the man. He should definitely get a supporting actor nod. Shia LaBeouf was good. Carey Mulligan was good, but her character was so annoying. And there is a cameo froma very key person from the first Wall Street, and its actually pretty shameful

And yes the ending sucked. I actually was really disappointed about the ending

6.5/10

I liked the movie but the ending fell a little flat...I agree.

Good movie overall though. Well acted

Yeah, its good but the ending sucked. If they wanted Gordon to be truly reformed he should've never [blackout]stole the money. He should've simply helped Shia take down Josh Brolin. Have a truly redemptive tale, instead of the whole relapse only to miraculously show up and reunite Shia and his daughter like something out of a bad romantic comedy.[/blackout]

I was ok with it, you see it coming but I could see how people would perceive it

hardcore finance dudes and gals I know here who are fans of Gekko will not like the ending

This was a wonderful film, and I was actually happy to see the ending turn out to be happy. "Afterall we got give each of us humans more credit, because deep down we're all mixed bags."
