Wanting to get into some good anime

the iron man and wolverine animes are worth watching

Slayers is entertaining. It follows a swordsman and a sorceress/swordswoman through a mideval fantasy world. Usually the plot arc involves some big bad trying to unleash some Abyssal or Lovecraftian abomination. Lina, the sorceress, only fights the big bad because the big bad's beasty/plot would destroy a favorite eatery of hers.

Pretty light stuff, but very fun to watch,

Is there any good anime that has Mech but little to no fan service? AND is a fairly recent series...like within the last 3 years? I already tried Full Metal Panic, liked the Mechs, but got tired of the fan service.

That's actually pretty tame, except for the third season finale (and hysterical, by the way). Maybe try Gurren Lagann...has its own thing going on that gets kinda' cartoonish but doesn't get too childish. And it's got some real panache to some of it.

i did prefer shellheads anime t logans

I don't know much about Mech series, but I believe that the Gundam shows shy away from fan service for the most part, at least the ones I've seen. Neon Genesis Evangelion is another, too. It has bits of fan service here and there, but nothing all that big, and it virtually disappears once you get to a certain point.

Gurren Lagann is good, but I think Yoko keeps the fan service active in that all the way through. Though, it never becomes annoying.

Rurouni Kenshin is Very totally good and with Zeta Gundam anime too

Oh...also forgot to mention....

"Read Or Die"

The movie and the series. Magic and spies....cool stuff.

You might try Star Driver

Mecha has become so ubiquitous in Japanese animation, they're starting to be treated like cars. Just a vehicle for characters.

If you're looking for recommendations though, tell what you've already seen, and what you liked.

Eureka Seven is an excellent mecha series. Also check out the new Evangelion movies.

I get tired of the 'you need to bond with it' and 'it comes from my heart' recurring themes in robot series'. Kinda' like saying I'm sick of 'overcoming challenges' in hero stories...but it can feel a bit redundant in some stories. :D

Sailor Moon
Dragonball Z
Trinity Blood
NANA
Get Backers
Hellsing

All good animes that I highly recommend! :)

Samurai Shodown and the Wolverine and Iron Man animes were terrible. I think you need better recommendations my friend :wow:
Still, they're better than the X-Men anime
All of them suck bad

If you don't mind being confused and being mind****ed, watch Big O. Or as it's sometimes called 'Batman with Robots'.
