Warhammer 40,000

Just how much of a prequel are we talking here? Would be very farfetched I think. Nah, I'd rather them just jump straight into warfare here, there's no need for an origin story where a 40k film is concerned. We can find out about history via talks and/or a flashback or two.

It's been a while, but who? I can honestly say I've never heard of these guys.

They're also the main antagonist in the Warhammer Vermintide games.

This captures the feeling greatly (the inquisitor guy was kinda cliche though, but otherwise, fabulous) and the portrayal of Space Marines here is the most badass one ever (just wait for it, it's awesome)!

The other parts of helsreach are on youtube.

Astartes should make all films from now on.

Started reading some of the Titan comics from Dan Abnett and man are they good. Really delve into the psychological as aspect of the Titan crew and how much the main driver bonds with their machine, would make for an amazing movie.

Imagery alone is absolutely incredible. I not-so-secretly hope Dune is a success and studios will try to find something else to make money on, so they bump into 40K.

Bah, it's too good to happen.

I really want 40K (and Warhammer Fantasy) on the big screen with a massive budget and top talent involved. I can dream at least even if it never happens. :O

I hope they get Dune totally right, both for the sake of Dune itself and for what may come after if it does really well.

Yeah, I'm a fan of Fantasy Battle too. Never played table top, but was a big fan of Dark Omen and Shadow of the Horned Rat games. Plus new Total War games are great.

It will never happen, unless some top director with a reputation "do whatever you like, here's the money" will decide to do one.

I still have loads of old fantasy tabletop armies even though I never played with them. They were more for collection and display purposes. I was a fan of Fantasy first but also love 40K. The Total War games are awesome. I was already a fan of regular Total War games so when they announced Warhammer games using that engine it was amazing for me.

Yeah, it seems unlikely so I’ll just have to dream about it for now.

It surprises me a studio hasn't taken a risk and purchased the film rights to this universe already. Done right it could be a big money maker as there are countless stories to tell.
