Weirdest thing across the street ...

So. I am sitting here at 12:13 my time getting ready to grab some much needed sleep and trying to post on a variety of subjects when something catches my eye in the window.

I am staying in a hotel for the next couple days for week meetings out of town. I am in a pretty rural area about ten minutes from the edge of the town where the meetings will be.

I looked to see what caught my eye and saw a weird light that was kind of flickering.

I looked out the window and across the street is some farmland. There is what looks like a barn a good distance away in amongst the few trees I can see.

I watched and it went out. I came back and posted some comments and it kind of flashed again but now I was looking for it. When I turned out the light and stood at the edge of window, peeking out from the drapes I could see this light a little more clearly but barely.

It's quite freaky in that it isn't like a fluroescent or a halogen. It is almost like a blue, palish almost fire-like light.

Thoughts anybody on what kind of light does that? Curious. I may have to check this out in the morning to see if I can find out anything.

It is definitely not McFly. More like a methane flame or something. I have seen those before where they have old garbage dumps that are filled over and the excess methane is burned off.

What would you need that on a farm for? Too tired to check it out but wondered if anybody knew anything about farm equipment or methane flames? Weird.

I expect the McFly quotient to triple overnight ...

I was gonna ask but then I saw the name and went .. ah yes the 60's.

Damn wish I had my camera to get a shot of this. It is pretty weak and far off so it probably wouldn't turn out.

Freaky schtuff mang. Not curious enough to do anything more about it tonight but perhaps somebody who knows about "blue" lights can offer some ideas?
