This book was assigned as part of an Ecohorror class I took last fall, and I have no idea how this will make it as a live action film. I don't see how they can possibly pull off all of the effects necessary at a reasonable budget. It'd make so much more sense if this was animated.

The survival thriller is directed by Brian Duffield, stars Austin Abrams and Josh Brolin and will be released by 20th Century Studios. The film is about a scuba diver who is swallowed by a sperm whale.
