What are show your surprised to find out their not on dvd?

people still bought it and 90 percent of the time, sets like that (especially with series that have been off air for a bit) tend to go in airdate not production...I believe eureka season one has the episodes in airdate and not production order

I love how on the press sheet for vol 3 and 4 of X-men. It says how Disney is so proud of the dvds selling over 40% higher than there expectations. Most likely Disney expected it to fail.

I'm surprised Pete and Pete season 3 isn't on dvd. The two seasons sold really well, but the new guy in charge of dvds at Paramount had to shut down production stating bull that no one wants to buy dvds of shows that are more than a few years old.

Also Power Rangers. It was the number one boy action franchise for like ten years until the transformers movie knocked it out of its place.

Oh, and can't forget most of the old Cartoon Network shows. I'd expect Swat Cats should be out in the next year or two though. So, at least thats something.

I wouldnt be overly surprised.

well it had been off the air for a few years, and you also had Xmen Evolution in between that series and now...im still waiting on Bionic Six

thats some cable systems and DirectTV....i just discovered i had it after 2 years

can I get King Arthur and the Knights of Justice??? please

1) Thundarr The Barbarian (obviously)

2) A Nightmare On Elm Street: Freddy's Nightmares

3) Conan The Adventurer: The Animated Series

4) WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

5) Manimal

6) Kung Fu: The Legend Continues

That's about all I can think of at the moment. Here are my reasons for each.

1) Thundarr was such an awsome show, way ahead of its time. I love my bootlegs, but unfortunately the sound and the picture's a little off on some of the episodes. It would be awsome to see them with digitally remastered picture and sound. And adding some special features, like episode long commentary for select episodes and some featurettes and fan films like what was done with the Dungeons & Dragons Series Box Set would be so awsome.

2) Freddy's Nightmares was released on VHS in the early '90s, so I don't see why they can't release it on DVD as well. At least release a "Best Of" box set with all the episodes which featured Freddy in the main story. Those were the only episodes I liked anyway.

3) Conan The Adventurer is available on VHS, so why not DVD?

4) I can't believe Vince McMahon hasn't done this yet. A Saturday Night's Main Event Anthology. He has a "Best Of" DVD, but I'd love to see all of the episodes in their entirety. So many great memories, so many classic moments in wrestling history. I've got several episodes of SNME on tape, but I didn't start taping them until October '86. And I didn't always get them all. I'd love to have all the SNMEs that I missed.

5) I almost forgot about Manimal until I read it on this thread. I thought it was a really cool show, and sadly under rated. It's a little obscure which is probably why it hasn't been released yet, but I've seen other equally obscure movies and TV shows availale on DVD, so you never know.

6) The original Kung Fu is available on DVD, as is Kung Fu: The Movie. So why not The Legend Continues?

With Davids recent death I would be surprised if Kung Fu: The Legend Continues is released here soon.

I believe there is a "best of" collection of Saturday Night Main Event that WWE just put out a couple months ago

there was a syndicated show that was on for one season that I did like....Acapulco H.E.A.T. - kind of like a sexy A Team

I've been waiting for them to release the R2 DVD's of Sleeper Cell: American Terror, Freaks & Geeks, Undeclared and the final season of Homicide: Life On The Street... they're STILL not available. Will probably have to grab the R1's.

Other than the whole region thing, there's only one show that comes to mind that needs a DVD release: Ed.

I mentioned the "Best Of" DVD in my post. I haven't seen it yet, but I think a Saturday Night's Main Event Anthology DVD box set would be better. There are just too many great moments to capture on a "Best Of" DVD.

I seriously need the title changed of this thread. The OCD in me is killing me slowly!

I want more of:
Gargoyles
The Practice
Growing Pains
Perfect Strangers.
Ducktales
Darkwing Duck
Talespin
Rescue Rangers
The Tick(why isn't anybody else upset that we only got the first two seasons and season 3 never came out?)
C.O.P.S.(only one box set?!)

None of those shows have finished on dvd but they've had their first 1 or 2 box sets released.

As far as shows that haven't come out at all I really want Batman, Wonder Years, Spider-man(94), MMPR, Ally Mcbeal(which I believe IS coming out in October), Boston Public, bionic six, bucky o' hare.

Disney only releases things when it suits them....I know some of Rescue Rangers is on DVD, I just don't know exactly how much

as for Wonder Years, that show used a TON of licensed music from that time and thats the main issue holding it up...ABC wants to release it with all the music intact

Yup. The licensing for the music is literally through the roof. If ABC can secure the rights, the hole that they would be in would be a deep one, that even if the season sets were regularly priced they couldn't break even. If they priced them as the most expensive sets, no one would buy them.

It's also a big part of the reason why the show itself isn't in reruns anywhere, or at least anywhere that I've seen

I'm still pissed I can't get Farscape on dvd unless I pay $100+!!! I can't Netflix it even...I can only either fork over the cash or watch it on my pc (BLEH)

sigh....and here I wanted my wife to experience the greatness that is Farscape...so much for that.

1. The Drew Carey Show - WHY NOT!? I loved this show and I would buy the set in a heartbeat:(

2. The Andy Dick Show - that show was great.

3. Doug and Rocko's Modern Life

2) A Nightmare On Elm Street: Freddy's Nightmares

5) Manimal

2. I want to see Freddy killing Brad Pitt again.

Also Manimal was so far ahead of it's time.
