What are the border requirements for entering Canada?

I'm either going to take the train or fly. The only thing I have is an expired passport. Am I going to have any trouble entering Canada or coming back to the US?

Getting into Canada, probably. Getting back into the US, definitely. They'll need 2 pieces of valid ID, one of them a photo ID, and I don't know if the expired passport will be accepted. Probably not.

actually supposedly they have disbanded all passport requierments untill spring of '08 due to the fact that the process for obtaining a new passport takes too long and would most likely put a damper in everyones traveling plans..so unless im sadly mistaken, wich on here seems to be the theme..lol...no u shouldnt have too much trouble

but seriously? don't go to the hype for this kind of advice. talk to a travel agent.


the restrictions are only applicable to flights right now, as far as i know.

its all the same as the a-z alphabet, but z is changed to zeb.

If flying, may need proof that you have applied for the passport.

Zanos, I don't know your age, if you are a student, your student ID and your Drivers Liscense will be fine.......or if you have it available your DL and birth certificate will be fine.....I've gone through with just my DL, but that was before 9/11.

TO be safe, DL and Birth Certificate will take care of ya....this will take care of airport, border, train, etc.
