What are your favorite Superman writers from the comics? And maybe the ones you would look at if you were developing a Superman movie adaptation?

For me it's
- John Byrne
- Dan Jurgens
- Grant Morrison
- Jeph Loeb
- Brian Azzarello

Hard to agree with that lineup!

Byrne revitalized Superman and wrote a definitive origin tale that lasted for decades.

Morrison wrote All Star Superman - possibly the best ever superman series.

What about Geoff Johns' Secret Origin ? It's pretty good, as is " Up Up and Away. "

I would add Mark Millar ( not a fan of his really) for writing Red Son - the second best ever Superman elseworlds story.

The best elseworlds Superman story has to be Mark Waid's "Kingdom Come" ( I didn't care for his "Birthright " story ).

Alan Moore should get props for writing " For the Man who has Everything " which IMO is the single best ever Superman story.

I’ve never liked Moore’s writing, he’s to wordy and drawn out.
