I have grown to enjoy Mike Carey's writing. It's pretty fun reading his take on the X-Men.

I never really followed talent around until now. Moore, Morrison, and Johns are big ones that I have been getting into their recent stuff and looking in to their old stuff.

I loved Hitman so now Im reading Ennis' Preacher.

Also a big fan of Peter Tomasi right now. Definitely enjoying Green Lantern Corps and Outsiders now that hes on it.

I like Joe Kelly (i mean, the guys place in comic book heaven is assured for what he did with Deadpool alone) but he's much patchier than people think.
His JLA run for example, i think is a massive let-down! And the less said about his JLA: Elite the better... When Kelly is great, he's really great! but he needs the right material.

Ed Brubaker is my favourite, right now I'm collecting Daredevil, Incognito and both Captain America titles [Reborn.] The standard never drops. He has also introduced me into Pulp fiction and the greatness of the crime genre.

Bendis is another favourite of mine, his Daredevil and Ultimate Spider-Man runs are among the best runs in the history of the meduim, To last that long with that consistent high level is extraordinary,

As of yet, i'm unfamiliar with Brubaker. He's one of those guys i keep almost getting into before something else comes along to distract me... I love Bendis, though.
A couple of years ago, a friend lent me every single issue of Alias. I ended up reading ALL of them in one night... Great read.

I agree. I started reading DD and Cap again because of the rave reviews and I haven't been disappointed. I am a bit depressed that Steve is already being brought back though.

Ed Brubaker and Brain K.Vaughn are definite favorites.Jason Aaron has really captured my attention and kept it.One of my old time favorites is J.M. Demattis.

Loeb was pretty great on Superman/Batman and Supergirl...I really enjoyed his runs on those.

Since then though, his writing quality has dropped considerably. His work with Marvel has been from ok to near unreadable.

A friend and i attribute Loeb's dip in quality to the death of his son... He never really took time off to deal with that...

I agree, his dip in writing quality started after his son's death. The poor man just seems to have snapped after that and never recovered...so we get the brunt of his chaotic mind through his chaotic writing.
