Not sure what you're trying to accomplish here, but except for Painkiller Jane and the JLA Class arc, they both wrote all those. That's their shtick. They usually write together.

Usually, they're pretty good. Jonah Hex is stellar. Monolith was great fun. On the other hand, sometimes they do Countdown.

At this point, I don't think any individual creators who've written Countdown can be held accountable for its suckage. It's like a living thing, able to be unbearably terrible all on its own if necessary.

Except Beechen. You can still lay some of the blame on him.

So was the purpose of this thread to basically pwn some noob who didn't know they're basically the same guy, or what?

I figured it was to gauge whether Power Girl's upcoming comic is worth a buy.

Raiden versus Cap'n Marvel (with long grey hair!) b-otch! :wow:

Yeah, Captain Marvel should rightfully own Raiden up, down, and sideways. That's why the game is so weird. The DC/MK power divide favors DC pretty absolutely.

Just some match up ideas:

Scorpion versus Human Flame
Johnny Cage vs. Booster Gold
Jax vs. Risk :woot:
Shang Tsung vs. Vandal Savage
Sub Zero vs. Captain Cold/Mr. Freeze

There's already many threads to discuss the actual game, I just wanted to know if the writers were good or not.

Haha, but I guess it doesn't really matter too much. I mean who the hell cares at this point. It's Superman fighting Scorpion. :funny:

Jonah Hex has been one of the most solid comics since it started.

And has lasted nearly twice as long as most new comics do.

I wonder if Gray/Palmiotti will put out an actual story, or if they'll just sit down and **** it out like Countdown.

Does it matter? It's a fighting game, story lines are always kinda secondary to begin with.

Yeah, I didn't know why any of the dudes in Mortal Kombat were fighting for years. Didn't detract from my enjoyment of MK, back when I enjoyed MK.

Superman did. After Johnny Cage punched him in the face.

Once I told my brother (since this is his sorta thing) he went and found all the info he could. Turns out the MK characters supposedly got a power up due to the worlds colliding. So, i guess that takes away the power gap or whatever. I wonder if the DC characters are gonna have finishing moves? Don't see them having Supes fry a guy with his heat vision.

Well I can't see the WB allowing MK characters to rip off Superman's head, either. This whole thing just feels like the worst setup for a punchline, much like that Spirit trailer.

Doesn't mean I won't rent the gaping hell out of it when it arrives, of course.

I'll probably just watch my bro play it.

DC characters will only have "Friendships".
