Wasn’t very nice. That’s what I think

I agree. I don't think it was very nice either. I don't think anyone does, do they?

I do think however that it should be renamed, as it didn't involve the entire world. Unless I'm mistaken, Ireland, Portugal, Turkey, vast areas of Africa and Asia didn't get involved. There were no Polar Bears or Penguins in the war either.

To be fair, Hitler had a real sweet deal with the German War Machine, if he had stayed on target with invasions and land grabs he wouldn't have flamed out so hard, the thing with the Gypsies and the Jews was stupid and turned potential allies into very motivated enemies. Also Do NOT invade Mother Russia in winter... or any other time.

It’s far more ambitious than its predecessor—-maybe excessively so, in fact——with some tremendous set pieces and better villains, but it kind of falls into the sequel pitfall of trying so hard to be so much bigger and on such a grander scale that it feels bloated and overlong.

It involved more countries in the same basic conflict than had ever been involved together at the same time than ever before. It was fought on every continent except Antarctica. So I would say it deserves the classification of a WORLD WAR.

While no actual fighting was done on Antarctica, the Nazi warship PENQUIN attacked and seized 20,320 TONS of whale oil from 3 separate Norwegian whaling vessels operating in the sub Antarctic waters. This led to the formation of OPERATION TABARIN that resulted in multiple British observation camps being set up in Antarctica to keep track of Nazi activity in the area. There were also multiple operations and battles that occurred in either the actual ARCTIC CIRCLE or within the ARCTIC REGION (that area where the average temperature for the warmest month is below 10 degrees centigrade). Check out the BATTLE FOR THE ALEUTIAN ISLANDS involving United States and Japanese forces Aleutian Islands campaign - Wikipedia or OPERATION ARCTIC FOX involving German, Finnish, and Russian forces Operation Arctic Fox - Wikipedia
