I just finished an essay for my sociology class. The question was what will be our generation's legacy? We were to compare it to the 60s and 80s, but let's ignore that for now. What will our generations legacy be? I'm afraid it is going to be something negative such as the effects of the war, but hell. Who knows? What are your thoughts on this topic?

Internet, quick and easy communication, and globalization defiNATEly.

We are the anime generation :o

I think it would be the begining of everyone having to have some type of technology, such as a cell phone, computer, x-ray glasses or mind reading devices.

While i do believe that the information age of today will leave a huge legacy for the following generations, is it really helping us or hindering us? This is a question that I had to answer in a Sociology paper myself. Does the internet play a role in lowering social interaction? Sure we are getting a ton of information at the simple press of the button but look what we've sacrificed. Take some people on this website. There are posters here who seem to be here 24/7 almost. Other people sit around and play online games 12+ hours a day. How useful is the information we are presented if it can cause the rotting of people's minds and the interaction with society they so truely need?

Well, it's a double edged sword, but what good thing isn't?

How it seemed productive to attack Bush well into the 22 century.

****ty music. Internet. Over production of "superhero movies". Mindless garbage in every theatre. Lost of interests in books. and yeah, the destruction of the environment.

So now I have: cornrows, dreadlocks, braids, and now a mullet??

Haha, so cute.

crying about the excesses of capitalism while weighing 400 lbs and/or using a cell phone while doing it.

being a pack of lethargic losers who shirk personal responsibility at all costs, including their own freedoms.

or maybe the Information Age, not finished the study yet.

The Internet started in the late 80's (see War Games/Whiz Kids).

The legacy of the 90's is cell phones, digital cameras, lack of privacy and over the top political correctness.

1. The Internet

2. Cell Phones

3. Gas Prices rising due to war

Basically, Tech boom.

as much as anybody can say what will be the legacy of this generation, it is really too soon to make a prediction, wait twenty years, and if civilization is still around, and depending of the sate of things, you'll have an answer

actually, i've forgot to mention interactive television, and reality based programming.

that's definitely something that has picked up in naughties, although it was touched on in the nineties.

We don't live on the moon but we have porn at our fingertips.

That's our legacy.

Well, I have to say that I come the 80's generation so I really can't comment.
