I've heard only bad things about the Art Institutes and how they are the worst to go to...I was planning to go to one until I talked to my counselor.
NO, i would not.
I got a great job after school, and LOVED living in Philly, but that school in particular is a train wreck. 85% of what I learned was on my own. Most of the classes were a joke. Its an institution designed to take your money. Not to adequately train you for a future in the arts.
But of course, that might just have been that particular school. There are Art Institutes all over the country that might be better. What's your major? I would suggest finding another school.
I'm going to Syracuse University and I'm majoring in Psychology. I want to transfer to the film school there though.
I'm still in high school, and have been looking at colleges with good film classes. Isn't Syracuse supposed to be solid?
Well, as far as my experience goes, the admissions guy was so proactive to the point to where he was annoying. And for me, if I were to take the animation program, it'd be about $90,000, which doesn't make sense when I'd be going to school for a $40-$50,000 a year job.I've heard only bad things about the Art Institutes and how they are the worst to go to...I was planning to go to one until I talked to my counselor.
Oh, that's cool. I thought you were gonna say something about gang activity or something. I know some people that go to Evergreen and they seem to like it. And I know one or two people that went to Andrew Hill. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the school, but I graduated from Leigh High School myself, so I live over in that area.I'm from San Jose. I haven't lived there in just over 2 years, but I lived the rest of my life there. Spent some time at Evergreen after graduating from Andrew Hill.
