What does Kevin Feige's "Black Panther leads directly to Infinty War" quote mean ??

I expected the Soul Stone to appear which would obviously lead to Infinity War. Instead, Black Panther had barely any connection with any other films, I dont even think they mentioned the names of a single other Avenger. Just the small Bucky cameo at end. But I didn't notice anything that would lead to Infinity War.

What u guys think ?

It looks to me like Infinity War is going to see the characters clustered into 3 different locations that at some point converge. I would hazard a guess and say the events of IW take place not too long after Black Panther.

I wonder if the final cut of IW will go unedited and unchanged at this point, or will Marvel decide to throw in a few more scenes of BP/Wakanda that may have otherwise hit the editing room floor before they started realizing how successful BP is at the b.o....?

My logic was that when Wakanda comes out and describes its technology, that signals something to Thanos. For a while, I thought that Vibranium itself might be an infinity stone that Thanos will reform. But Wakanda coming out into the open has triggered infinity wars.

There wouldn't be time to completely retool the movie in that way. Too close to release. At best, they would add something post-credits, but that is likely going to be used to set-up future phase 3 films.
