AmazingSpider-Man374.jpg

but after that I didnt get the chance what happened to them. Did they die cause I havent heard of them since this issue.

Aloha,
They were Simulated life forms used by the Chameleon. The real parents of Peter have been dead for quite some time.
Spidey rules

Now its been a while since ive heard bout this but i believe the mary and richard in that story were revealed to be fakes. I think Richard and Mary where actually Cold War spies that were killed in a plane crash.

Yup, the real Richard and Mary Parker have been dead long before Amazing Fantasy 15 :hyper:

The ones on this cover are constructs as Donald has pointed out.

oh ok. thats what I knew and in my book thats what happened. but then I bought that issue and it said they were alive. this cought me offguard but now I know. and btw I already knew they died

The issue where Peter took revenge on Chameleon for the whole robot parents thing was badass. Love that issue.

can u give me the issue so I can buy and read plz

WHAT HAPPENED TO PETE"S PARENTS?

Well...they ended up making a deal with the devil, and are no longer married and NEVER really were. But, Pete's GRANDMA is now still alive at age 129 due to the deal with the devil, but is very wrinkled and her nostril hairs flare up with hellfire occasionally.

Pete's mom now dates other guys while she is also now a superhero named "Good Boy Pete"....a famous line of hers she used to say.

However, there is some confusion about the hero "Good Boy Pete" as to whether or not is it really her...or if it is someone that just looks like her and talks specifically like her.

Also, some people wonder if Pete's mom still remembers she is married to Pete's daddy, even though they were never married now.

You'll have to catch up on that storyline. :cwink: It's a doozy.

One of Harry's most disturbing attacks on Pete.

But quite hokey and funny at the same time.

Doesn't matter anyway, because there is NO WAY this storyline EVER happened now.

:whatever:

Give it time and someone in Marvel will have the "brilliant" idea to reveal that since Bucky was controlled by the Russians at the time, it was Winter Soldier that carried out the attack while Wolverine failed to stop him.

I actually liked the fake parents storyline.

I've never read these comics (I will soon, I've got the complete collection now), but wasn't the Green Goblin somehow involved? Or am I thinking of something else?

Harry had just died as the Goblin and he showed up on a computer screen taunting Spidey. "Gotcha!" :gg:

Harry Osborn was completely and totally behind the fake parents storyline.

Without changing history (because everything happened the same, duh :whatever: ), there is simply NO WAY IN HELL that Peter Parker would forgive Harry for this, whether or not "new" Harry remembers doing it in this alternate time-line they've concocted.
Peter was DEVASTATED by this betrayal, he sunk so deep into depression and rage after this had happened.

You're gonna rationalize that Peter's OK with Harry now? Or simply pretend that maybe Peter doesn't remember it was Harry?

Either way, it's complete SHENANIGANS, or an ALTERED HISTORY. It's one or the other.

:whatever:

In defense of BND.....there is still a big gap between the Mephisto deal and Peter waking up in this BND. Now we have no idea exactly what hell happens there and apparently we'll know in the future.

Yes I know its a big cop out and there essential cheating us by withholding this all you need to know info on the altered history.

Harry's death has been substituted with a trip to Europe (it's an Osborn tradition!). It's not like Pete could go after him, nor would he try to get revenge when Harry came back, especially since Harry can't remember anything he did. And after all, Norman has done far and more worse to Peter, but he has never gone out and tried to get bloody revenge on him.

You should really dig up your old issues of that time in Spidey's history and actually read them before coming up with such a flimsy excuse.

In BND, no one remembers last twenty years as they really were. So no one has real memories of false parents, if anyone remembers them at all.

So pete has no memory of his fake parents? Please. :whatever:

Dig 'em up? I just recommended one earlier in this thread.

I remember just fine that part in Spidey's history. What's your point? It's not like Harry would have been around for Pete to try and kill him, he was off at rehab in Europe.

My point is that Harry (whether or not he remembers) did something to Pete that is unforgivable... Pete was in deep depression and rage over this for quite some time... Even if Pete wouldn't seek out revenge for it when Harry got back, I highly doubt he would be chumming around with him at clubs and parties.

What exactly is so hard to understand about that...? It's like you purposely evade reality in your discussions just to argue...

Very strange.
