What take do you think Christopher Nolan would take on a Daredevil Movie?
Just some thoughts.

It would be viewed by critics, fans & non-comic reading moviegoers alike as a Batman ripoff, which we don't want.

Not necessarily. The only way it would be viewed in such a manner is if he tried to bring 'realism' to the project. Daredevil has powers, so if he's true to the source material, he could do. I doubt Marvel would hire him though. These rabid fan boys are too consumed with their own petty dispositions to care about what's really in the best interest of Marvel franchises. I hope the only active role they have in any of these projects is as an audience member.

Still, I don't see Nolan doing anymore superheros. He's an independent filmmaker, and that's where he shines. There are plenty of other good directors out there.

Daredevil's only power is heightened senses. This basically enables him to "mind his surroundings".

i agree with you chris wallace, on how people would view it as a batman ripoff, but all i have too say is the cell phone thing at the end of the dark knight was a rip off of daredevil.

You think "realism" is what's best for Marvel franchises?

That must be why those Spider-Man, Blade, and X-Men Movies did so poorly at the box office. :whatever:

hate it when people think going real and dark will work for every super hero character it worked for batman cause thats what batman is TDK was good cause nolan said true to source material just like how iron man was good because it stayed good to source material same with spiderman stay good to source material and have good actors and movie should be good

I'm sick of it, too. There's threads all over the place suggesting that Burton or Nolan should direct the next Marvel movie, like the same approach works across the board like that. I never once saw a post from ANY Spider-Man or X-Men fan suggesting that Singer & Raimi should take over the DC franchises-and we saw what happened when one of them did.

Nolan is not going to be typecasted into making superhero movies.

You don't consider Daredevil or Moon Knight dark super-heroes?

You know he would probably understand the pitfalls and the similarities between the two characters and what he would definitely understand is that they operate in different environments in different ways and he would play on that.

he would have more of matt's daytime life and law experiences as motivations, they way the characters move and their resources would be different as well as their overall motivations.

the characters of batman and daredevil would be as different as if matt murdock put on the cape and cowl instead. Infact that's the angle he'll probably go with.

a blind unscarred harvey dent in costume.

I'd watch it

Well,I ask because I have always seen Daredevil as kind of dark and a little more realistic than Spiderman etc.Of course I love them both.I diffinitly see him similar to Batman, Hell Kitchen and Gothom they both deal with darker situations(I'm from the ol'Frank Millar days) they both work borderline with the law. Also I feel Daredevil is Marvels Batman. In fact somtimes I think Stan Lee got his inspiration for Daredevil from Batman. Why do I feel this way.Well think about it if Stan Lee would have created Batman he probably would have made him with Daredevil powers Radar and such like a Bat,because Marvel is known to attribute powers from the source of the name.(Spiderman=Spider powers,Moon knight=The Moon,Blackpanther=a Black Panther Etc.)All of these characters are varitions of Batman with the exeption of Spiderman. So it shows he is inspired by Batman or Marvel is to some extent.I think Stan Lee saw this as almost a missed oppurtunity on DC part not to give him those powers. For Dc this may not be the case and I respect them for that.I truly believe it was Stan Lee's inspiration because if Batman were to have been created by Marvel you can bet he would have had Bat Radar power and all.I'm sure he looked at Dc Characters and thought"How would I have done that?"
I think Stan Lee took this and came up with his own night predetor(Daredevil). It's just too much of a coincedence. So Nolan doing a movie would have been interesting for me.

Moon Knight has no powers in the comics I've read.

Moon Knight has no powers in the comics I've read.
Moonknight derives his personalities from the different stages of the Moon.
Marvel always has some sort of tie in to their names.

Excerp from Marvel.com Character Universe:

Powers:
Moon Knight gains enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes at night, reaching his pinnacle during a full moon, and sometimes has prophetic visions.

The full moon enhances his strength sort of like Superman and the sun.
Marvel always has some sort of tie in to their names.

I've read most of Moench's original run on MK. No powers show up there.

Excerp from Moon knight;

Powers and Abilities:

Spector gained his superhuman powers as a result of a visitation by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Moon Knight's strength, endurance and reflexes are enhanced depending upon the phases of the moon.[31] The fuller the moon, the more strength Moon Knight derives from it, though even during a new moon, he can lift several hundred pounds. He has some degree of superhuman strength during the peak of a lunar cycle. It's not known how much of this strength is mystical and how much is simply the result of self-hypnosis due to his psychological instability. Due to his multiple personalities, he is also resistant to some psychic attacks and sometimes receives prophetic visions.

This happened in Moenchs first issue:

Roaming Egyptians who worship the ancient Egyptian gods find Spector and carry him to their temple. Helpless before the statue of Khonshu, Spector's heart stops. Khonshu appears to him in a vision, offering Spector a second chance at life if he becomes the god's avatar on earth. Spector awakens, wraps himself with the silver shroud that covers Khonshu's statue, and again confronts Bushman. He defeats Bushman and returns to America with Marlene Alraune, Frenchie, and the statue of Khonshu. Deciding to become a crime-fighter, Spector creates a silver cloaked costume, based on the silver shroud, and becomes the Moon Knight.

2 of those franchises aren't even worth mentioning, but I get your point. Well, 66% of each is worth an honorable note. There is a way to balance realism and fantastical in the same movie. LoTR did very well.

Well said NR. That does sound like the roots for some compelling drama.

True. Does anyone else agree with my above post on how I think Daredevil may have come about because of Batman.
