What if they made a new comedic Batman TV show today?

What the title says. Let's just say that some network and DC decided to give this a go after having Batman be a dark character for so long and wanted to show range in the Batman character. I wouldn't expect it to be totally like the 60 show but it would capture the spirit. I do think if this happens, there would be a good amount of ironic jokes to The Dark Knight Trilogy.

I had a random thought about this and wanted to know what it would be like.

Who would be cast?
What would the critical reception be like?
What would it do to the fan base?

If you had to ask who'd I cast just off the top of my head:

Will Arnett - Bruce Wayne/Batman

Andy Samberg -The Joker

Alison Brie- Barbra Gordon/Batgirl

Gillian Jacobs - Vicky Vale

Nick Offerman - Commissioner Gordon

Thoughts?

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, though animated, was a solid attempt at such a thing but it's cancellation convinced me that as far as WB/DC is concerned Batman adapted into other media will continue to mirror the 'dark' tone that's been pretty much the comics since the mid 80s.

It wouldn't last a full season, not in this day and age. The OP had some great casting choices though. But i would still hate it. If Batman isn't dark and somewhat taken seriously...at least somewhat then it ain't Batman to me. Or at least not the batman that i want to watch.

"Fun"? I have all the fun i need watching Batman in action in the Burton or Nolan movies. Same with the clip i saw from Snyder. It doesn't need to be light and comedic to be fun.

But dark and cartoony and jokey? I can see it with Arnett as Bruce and Offerman as Gordon. But a dark visual look with Adam West goofiness? I think we saw that with Batman Returns. It's one of the goofiest movies ive ever seen yet it has a dark look to it, so there ya go.

Actually, that show ended because it reached a full, 65-episode run, which is the maximum most action cartoons get, with a few exceptions.
