Just curious to see where everyone who frequents this place tends to fall in the spectrum of things. I've set the poll up so you can select more than one option; say for example you consider yourself and Independent voter with a Moderately Liberal leaning, you can select all three of those options to capture that. Seemed the best way to allow folks to somewhat accurately represent themselves. My apologies if I left anyone out.

Its probably a oxymoron, but I went
Independent Conservative Libertarian...

FAIRTAX NUTJOB!!! FTW!!!!:woot:

But, I am a Libertarian with Conservative Values. I do not identify with the Republicans because I believe they (our Representatives) no longer care about anything except keeping their jobs. They don't look out for us any more.

I am Conservative, but I don't consider myself republican necessarily.

For the sake of this - I went Republican Libertarian. I don't necessarily consider myself a "Republican", but of the two major parties - I will almost always side with them.

If a viable libertarian party emerged, I would jump ship in a hurray - but as it is, I would rather work inside the party and mold it to the libertarian roots it has.

Agreed!

Moderate Democrat who has been leaning towards switching to Independent for awhile (so I voted all three)

Moderate Libertarian FairTax nutjob.

On a side note: those who understand the FairTax know that it has no political affiliation.

Shush! Don't rain on my chance to give SupermanBeyond a bad time! :cmad:

:hehe:

I love it.

But it's true, it's a Form of Taxation, not a Political Ideology. Would you like me to tell you more about it?

Fixed that for ya. :D (Hey, at least I spelled it right for you. :p ).

Jag, I am interested in what aspects do you consider yourself libertarian?

I'm not officially registered, and I try not to really label myself, but I'm a moderate liberal Democrat.

I'm a Democrat who is quite liberal on social issues but a bit more conservative on economic/ defense issues.

Independent (lean more to democrats, minus Ron Paul in election) moderate.

I guess that's the best way to describe my views. I like to keep an open mind on both sides of the issue.

I put Libertarian/Conservative, but probably should have voted Republica too. I am conservative and Libertarian as a core belief as in smaller government, let states do thework, not as in the bastardized version we have today where it seems the only things people connect to conservatives in pro-life, anti-gay, and pretty anything to do with religion.
