I used to have Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, but I've taken it off for two reasons. I was getting tired of it and I also wanted to conserve more memory on my iPod.

I rented that Jesse James flick through iTunes and it's on my iPod right now. I haven't seen it yet, but I think I only have a couple days left.

If there is a way to send these movies I would but with magic dvd ripper it dosent have to be copy right protected it still can copy it into ipod format, wmv, avi, iphone, cellphone, zune tons of formats I use it to make AMVs and the best part is you rent a movie rip it off and give itt back to them lol and then I put it on my WD passport :D

It was the test subject. I wanted to make sure the program and the dvd burner wouldn't mess up the disc. I wasn't gonna take that chance on a good movie. :woot:

can someone hook me up with a link to somewhere where i can get some of these programs to shrink and convert dvds for my ipod?

PM? anything really. :o i was trying to figure this out earlier today actually and all i could find were programs requiring me to buy the program or it leaves a watermark on my movie. :csad:

I shrink torrents with iSquint.

What I use is ShrinkDVD 3.2 which you can find on a Google search. I simply rip the main movie from a DVD to my hard drive. Then I convert with Videora iPod Converter (found through Google, once again). On Videora - make sure you have the settings at "2-Pass" so you get the best results on picture and sound.

The resulting file is ready to be imported into iTunes.

As far as file size: Casablanca is 637Mb, Batman Begins is 923Mb, Raiders of the Lost Ark is 760 Mb. I've got a 5th generation 80Gb iPod, so I still have half my memory left even with all the movies I already have on there.

WARNING: Ripping the movie takes about 25 minutes. Converting can last up to 2 hrs. So rip 2-3 movies in the afternoon, then let the converter run over night since it eats up a ton of resources.
