What next for the WWE, does it have a reason to exist?

If you're not going to contribute to the discussion in hand, why post? This thread should not be about forum members. It should be about childrens heroes with clay feet!

And that's the reason you needed to call wrestling fans "special", post a pic of a slightly chubby pale dude with a goofy grin and say it's the typical wrestling fan, and then go on to argue and insult a guy over his post count basically saying he had no life until an admin made you stop? Pot meet kettle.

I'll stop posting in it tho, it is your thread even if you created it just to mess with the wrestling fans on these boards and insult them. Hopefully you're working your way to another ban so you'll stop stalking ppl on here, and trolling.

More slander Ronald. No need to take things so personally, actually you probably have lots of reasons I expect to take things personally in your life, hi ho. If anything you appear to be humping my leg and following me around. As you say I am the thread starter, so it's likely I will post in this thread. You like wrestling obviously, if you want me to think that makes you special, so be it! You're obviously free to post where you want, i'd like it to be on topic though in this thread. Pot? I don't use pot. Oh, you mean Pot calling the kettle black? I'm not black.......... What are you getting at?
You mean you don't know either? :whatever:

Just to let you know, other than the first line, all of that is Spider-Bite's words, not mine. Hopefully you caught that.

I know. When I quoted it it must have messed up somehow and made it look like you typed it. I know it was the misinformed Spider-Bite. :woot:

It really is amazing how fearful and hateful people have become in this world. People truly just want to hate something so bad that they'll find ANY LITTLE THING about something and try to expose it. Like the wrestling business is any different than any other professional sport or fighting sport in the world. Ha.

But that's not what I said. I said the wrestling BUSINESS. I'm not here to talk about whether pro wrestling is a "real sport" or not. The topic at hand is more along the lines of you being completely and totally ignorant of the wrestling business and the people who watch the programming.

But that's not what I said. I said the wrestling BUSINESS.

then you went on to compare it to other sports I did not change your wording.

Like the wrestling business is any different than any other professional sport or fighting sport in the world. Ha.

Here it is again, "like the wretling business is any different to any other pro sport".

I said of course it is, not being a "real" sport.

What's your point?

The topic at hand is more along the lines of you being completely and totally ignorant of the wrestling business and the people who watch the programming.

Then enlighten me please, explain why I am wrong. Haven't a humber of high profile wrestlers assalted their spouses. Don't most of them take copius amounts of drugs.
Don't the fans enjoy watching lots of men playfight in skimpy outfits?

What have I got wrong?

My point is that in those "sports" steroids and other performance ehancement supplements are abused. Because what you seem to not understand about the wrestling business is that it is FAKE. It is a STORYLINE. It's ENTERTAINMENT. And, in most cases, what the wrestling business does is a tongue in cheek representation of the sports world. It's obvious that some of the wrestlers DO take steroids but the fact is that they are in a business where the outcomes are PREDETERMINED. Them taking performance enhancers have no bearing on their career success.

However, in other sports, taking steroids and other various ehancements is BASICALLY like cheating.

Do you think the people who take them in other sports take anything like the volume these actors do?

I understand it's "supposed" to be entertainment, you just keep comparing it to sports. Actually taking performance enhancers probably does have a bearing on career success for the most part in pro wrestling, the old joke goes it's the one who tested negative for steroids that gets fired in a WWF drug screen. Who is WWF champion now?
The names which immediatly spring to mind like "Hulk" Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are poster boys for steroid abuse. I wonder if the top guys today are freaks? My guess is a big Hell Yeah!!:yay:

How do I know how much these people take? I don't know if some baseball players pumps himself more than a professional wrestler and neither do you, haha!

I'm not the one who was comparing pro wrestling to other sports. Yourself and the posters who seem to have a hard on for hating professional wrestling made the comparisons between pro wrestling and pro sports.

And I could give two craps whether Hulk Hogan and Macho Man pumped themselves full of steroids. They were two extemely entertaining forces in the wrestling world and entertained the hell out of me as a little kid back in the 80's. That's what the wrestling business is all about, making sure you got your money's worth of entertainment. And, in most cases, you usually do when you go to a live show.

Now in pro sports? Those guys who take the steroids are CHEATING. They are taking a short cut so that they can be better than the other guys. And since it's REAL competition in pro sports it's not exactly FAIR. Yet there are still guys in pro sports who take anything to CHEAT their way to a better career. Which, in closing, pro sports are NO better than the wrestling business. One may be real competition and one may have fixed outcomes but the fact remains that neither are innocent industries in the United States and just pointing out pro wrestling because a wrestler snapped and killed his family is just plain old fashioned ignorance and hate.

Come on, you know thats not true. Just take a look at recent WWE champions or high profile wrestlers. I mean, freaking Batista and HHH for god's sake. Just look at them. There is an image that the WWE has for its champions.

Agreed and this image is part of the problems and leads to things like steroid linked depression and psychosis. The "hardcore" fans just can't admit it.

Damn I missed this post. Now here we go. As someones lean body mass increases the quantity of steroids they need to maintain it each cycle increases, let alone to build more lean tissue. This is not just due to the LD/KD50 dose response curve but to the degrative effects methylated hormones at the C17 site have on hormone receptors on the surface of the muscle cell, these receptors are being conned into letting the muscle absorb and store more nitrogen in the repair or anabolic phase of training. They actually act as blocking agents and the agents used to remove them between cycles futher damage receptor sites. Athletes with less muscle mass to maintain than wrestlers would take much smaller doses for all the reasons outlined by me. You told me you were a genius, so you knew this already right?

:)

This is a partial transcript from "Hannity & Colmes," July 6, 2007, that has been edited for clarity.

ALAN COLMES, CO-HOST: This week, People magazine takes a closer look at the life of wrestler Chris Benoit , which offers shocking details into the double murder. And at the same time the U.K. Sun has released a study that shows 107 wrestlers have died in the last 10 years.

The WWE responded to that story today, saying, quote, "We are in the process of reviewing this list and the many others that are circulating around the Internet. We intend to comment on those lists in the near future," end quote.

Joining us now with more details, former WWF wrestler Lenny Rafo (sic) and Jacques Rougeau. We welcome you both.

Lanny, did you know Chris or Nancy?

This is Jacques Rougaeu in Montreal. I'm just putting to you this way. I spent 30 years in this business now, 10 years with the guys which I called gorillas and guys that were on steroids everywhere.

We never took steroids, so if you want to talk to somebody who didn't take steroids and was with people who took steroids, I'll give you the truth.

I worked with some guys like the Road Warriors, for example. Hawk of the Road Warriors. Lanny, you remember Hawk. And there was a guy that you'd go in the ring with. And, for a simple reason, out of a match that didn't come out like he wanted to — one time I'm in Philadelphia. I'm in the dressing room.

He comes out of the ring and it's a three against three. There are two other opponents that are with me and come and shake my hand when I come out: "Good match, Jacques. Good match."

And he comes out of nowhere, and he pushes me into the wall saying, "What are you doing? What are you doing? You made me look bad." And I didn't even know what he was talking about.

And then five minutes later he'd come back and see me and say, "Jacques, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to talk to you like that."

We've seen so many moods change with the guys.

And you know, you could tell a guy that's on steroids right away. If you see the guy that weighs 250 in June, and then you see him and he weighs 265 in July, then there's a good chance that he's on steroids, especially if he doesn't have any fat on him.

As a steroid taker myself in my younger days something I have discussed a number of times in the fitness thread on this board long before the Benoit case. For those of you thinking of taking them, trust me don't!!

Actually he's right and this is a serious issue.

Kids for the love of god and all that's holy, don't watch Hannity and Colmes.

The only one out of those 3 guys that is probably juicin is John Cena(in the middle).

Nah, I'll stick with "mud" same as everyone else ;)

Hey I advocate name calling, violence, chemically castrating people who watch american idol and killing sprees, but calling someone "mud" that's just hitting below the belt. Where did you even come up with that? very fresh.

Debateable and Cena is the biggest star. The guy at the top is probably on a stack of viramone, proviron, primo, winstrol and growth for definition.

I'll post the household names of the WWE, Batista, Lesnar, Rock, Austin, Ultimate Warrior, Hogan etc. Apart from the Undertaker who took them early in his career they are defined by steroid abuse..

Yeah, all those guys you listed probably juice. I was just answering your question. Edge was on steroids for a few months after healing from an injury and that was it. Nitro I doubt b/c he's hardly one of the "bigger" guys.

Yeah I guess that warrants a thumbs up. Only one out of the three wrestlers is probably using steroids and he is the WWE title holder. Yay! :whatever:

My thumbs up was just because I answered Whirly's question. Had nothing to do with my approval or disapproval of the 'roids. You on your period?

Steroids aren't just used for size to reduce bodyfat as low as his yet maintain well above average muscle mass which he has. It's very likely he is geared up. In the U.K. those that know call it gear, Juice is the U.S. term. The most likely stack is Viramone (a very safe steroid but still has side effects), Winstrol (we all thought it was safe when I was taking it, it's actually a carcinogen and causes quite serious liver problems) Primo (The safest steroid of all) and growth. A number of alternatives exist, it's also likely he takes an ephedrine (not a steroid, a stimulant that has also been linked to deaths, it used to be legal in the U.K. and I used it for years), caffeine, white bark or aspirin stack and maybe thyroid hormone (which is incredibly dangerous)
